Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a thorough knowledge of the mathematics curriculum for middle and high school (from 6th to 12th grade). I am also qualified to support students in preparing for international exams such as the SAT, the OMPT, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) in all its variations: Analysis and Approaches (AA SL/HL) and Applications and Interpretation (AI SL/HL). Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. The strength of my teaching approach lies in my ability to explain, in simple terms, anything a student finds complicated. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. It is a true pleasure to see them progress and rediscover their connection with the fascinating world of mathematics. I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

Maths - Physics - Chemistry (Secondary, European Schools, and IB)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Maths - Physics - Chemistry (Secondary, European Schools, and IB)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Welcome to my profile. I am an experienced mathematics and science teacher with over seven years of experience helping students strengthen their understanding, improve their results and become more confident, independent learners. My lessons are designed for students and families who value high-quality, well-prepared and personalised teaching. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all course, I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, objectives, school programme and learning style. I teach students who need to rebuild essential foundations as well as those working on advanced topics, examinations or demanding international programmes such as the European Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate, as well as, the various Belgian programs. ◆ MY TEACHING APPROACH ◆ • • Initial assessment • • We begin by identifying the student’s current level, strengths, difficulties and academic objectives. • • Personalised lesson planning • • Each student receives a structured learning approach based on their specific needs, curriculum and pace of progress. • • Clear and accessible explanations • • Complex concepts are broken down into logical, manageable steps, with visual representations and carefully selected examples. • • Active problem-solving • • Students are encouraged to think, explain their reasoning and develop reliable methods for approaching unfamiliar questions. • • Targeted practice • • Exercises are selected to address specific weaknesses, consolidate knowledge and prepare effectively for tests and examinations. • • Regular review and feedback • • Previously studied material is revisited when necessary, and clear feedback is provided to help the student understand what has improved and what still requires attention. ◆ WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ◆ Professionalism and reliability are central to my work: • • Lessons prepared in advance and tailored to the student • • Punctual and well-structured sessions • • Patient, respectful and focused teaching • • Clear explanations without unnecessary complication • • Constructive and timely feedback • • Adaptation based on the student’s progress • • A serious learning environment that remains supportive and encouraging My objective is not simply to help students complete exercises. I aim to help them understand the underlying concepts, develop stronger reasoning skills and gain the confidence required to work more independently. Mathematics and science can appear difficult when important foundations are missing or when explanations are poorly adapted to the learner. With the right structure, guidance and practice, these subjects become far more logical, accessible and rewarding.

Physics and Math (high school, gymnasium, university exams)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I am a PhD physicist and teacher known for being able to explain the most complex topics in the simplest way, from Newton's laws to the high-school student, to quantum physics to the university student. Teaching focus: - Fundamental theory: most difficulty in solving exam problems does not come from the complexity of the problem but from the student not being comfortable with the theory. - Problem solving: breaking a question down into its simplest parts, visualising the physics involved. Format: - Lessons at my home where I have a whiteboard and desk set up for teaching - Online via Google meet - Lessons at the student home (depending on distance, possible surcharge) Exams: Any pre-university examination, including Matura, PAM, IB, A-levels. The type of exam is not as important as the topics being studied. What students say: - "I had to repeat the first semester of medical school because of physics, and after working with Ralph, physics actually became one of my best subjects. He explained the theory incredibly clearly and went through the exercises step by step. I could ask questions at any time, and I was also able to decide what pace we wanted to work at during our lessons." (Helena, UZH student) Personal accomplishments: - Gold medalist at the International Astronomy Olympiad (Beijing 2005) - Lecturer at ETH Zurich 2020-2024 - Phd in Theoretical Physics, University of Bristol - B.Tech. in Engineering Physics, IIT Bombay

Doctor of Mathematics — secondary school (grades 7-12) and university (bachelor's) coursesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I offer private mathematics lessons for all levels from secondary school (from first to last year) up to university level (bachelor's degree). A computer science and applied mathematics engineer (PhD in applied mathematics), I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in mathematics. I have also completed teacher training (agrégation) and taught mathematics at Collège Saint-Pierre (Uccle) as well as in two European Schools, in French. I have the official certificate allowing me to teach in French. Although I am a native Dutch speaker, I can therefore teach without difficulty in French (and also in English). My goal is not just to help solve exercises, but to truly make mathematics understandable. I pay particular attention to the structure of the reasoning, the clarity of the explanations, and the step-by-step progression. I particularly help pupils and students who: – wish to consolidate their bases – lack confidence in mathematics – are preparing for an exam or a transition to higher education – want to deepen their understanding My method is based on simple, rigorous explanations adapted to the student's level, as well as carefully chosen exercises to develop autonomy, confidence and work methods. FOR REMOTE COURSES, I USE A GRAPHICS TABLET WITH A STYLUS, WHICH ALLOWS ME TO WRITE AS ON A WHITEBOARD, VISIBLE IN REAL TIME BY THE STUDENT VIA SCREEN SHARING.

Structured Math, Physics & Chemistry Tutoring in Switzerland – Passerelle, BMS, Matura, Fachmaturität & QV PreparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Structured Math, Physics & Chemistry Tutoring in Switzerland – Passerelle, BMS, Matura, Fachmaturität & QV PreparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Swiss-Focused Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry Tutoring – Passerelle, BMS, Berufsmaturität, Matura, Fachmaturität, QV & Adult Education This class is designed for students and adult learners in Switzerland who want serious, structured and exam-focused support in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The main focus is preparation for Passerelle, BMS, Berufsmaturität, Matura, Fachmaturität and QV/final apprenticeship exams, as well as support for learners in adult education who are returning to study, changing career direction or preparing for a new academic path. What makes my tutoring different is the strong connection to the Swiss education system. I completed my master’s degree at a University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland and have many years of experience teaching students in Switzerland. This means my lessons are not generic international tutoring. They are built around Swiss school expectations, Swiss exam styles, Swiss curricula and the specific challenges faced by learners in Switzerland. ➜ Special focus on Passerelle preparation The Passerelle is one of the most demanding Swiss pathways because it requires strong discipline, independent thinking and solid exam technique. I help students prepare systematically in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry by working through the required theory, typical task types, old exams and exam-style practice. ➜ BMS and Berufsmaturität support For BMS and Berufsmaturität students, I provide structured help in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, depending on the programme and exam requirements. We focus on building strong foundations, closing gaps and applying methods correctly in exam situations. ➜ Matura and Fachmaturität preparation I support students preparing for Matura and Fachmaturität exams with clear explanations, relevant exercises and a structured learning plan. The lessons help students understand difficult topics, organize their knowledge and gain confidence before important assessments. ➜ QV / final apprenticeship exam preparation Many vocational students need Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry for their QV/final apprenticeship exams, especially in technical, scientific, laboratory, healthcare or engineering-related fields. I help students connect theory with practical calculations and exam-style tasks. ➜ Adult education and returning learners I also work with adult learners who are returning to education after a break, preparing for Passerelle, Berufsmaturität, Fachmaturität, QV or further studies. Adult learners often need a clear, respectful and efficient teaching style. I explain from the foundation upward, without judgment, and help rebuild confidence step by step. ➜ Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taught with equal seriousness The focus is not only Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry are also important, especially for Passerelle, Matura, Fachmaturität, technical BMS directions, QV exams and later studies. I explain formulas, concepts and calculations clearly so students understand the logic behind the subject. ➜ Old exams and Swiss-style practice Where suitable, I use old exams, typical Swiss exam questions and realistic practice material. Students learn how questions are asked, how to recognize the correct method, how to structure their solutions and how to avoid common mistakes. ➜ Clear step-by-step method Every task is approached with a simple structure: What is given? What is required? Which formula, law or method is suitable? Why does it apply? Then we solve the task step by step with all formulas, calculations and explanations. ➜ Why choose a Swiss-focused tutor? Many tutors may know Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, but Swiss exams often have their own wording, structure and expectations. Because I studied in Switzerland and have taught Swiss students for years, I can prepare learners in a much more targeted and relevant way. ➜ For serious students who want real progress This class is ideal for students and adult learners who want to pass an important exam, improve their grades, close knowledge gaps, prepare for further studies or gain more confidence in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. ➜ Success-oriented preparation My goal is to help students build real understanding, not just short-term memorization. With clear explanations, structured practice, old exam material and consistent preparation, students can develop the confidence and exam technique needed to perform at their best.

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · onlineTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Maths — orientation cycle and maturity — preparation for high school, year-long support · onlineTranslate this text using Google Translate.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 💻 Videoconference courses, from the orientation cycle to the final year of high school. There's a phrase I hear in almost every first session: "In class I understand, but when I'm faced with the worksheet I don't know where to start." It's not a question of academic level. It's that no one has ever taught students to recognize the type of problem they're facing. One function exercise looks like another, but the method isn't the same—and until this sorting happens automatically, each exercise starts from scratch. This sorting is what I work on first, even before reviewing the lesson. 🎓 I hold a Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics) and have been tutoring mathematics for 5 years. I have worked with numerous students in the Swiss system, as well as in French, Belgian, and international programs. 📚 What I cover, canton by canton The vocabulary varies from one canton to another, so let's be precise: ✏Geneva and Fribourg — orientation cycle (grades 9 to 11 HarmoS), preparation for entry into secondary school, then the four years of secondary school up to graduation ✏Vaud — pre-gymnasium and general tracks, preparation for the ECR exams, transition to gymnasium, then the three years of gymnasium ✏Neuchâtel — cycle 3, then high school ✏Valais — orientation cycle, then college Preparation for the Matura exam, all specific options 🔍 How I work 1️⃣ The first sessions are mainly aimed at assessing the level of the student in order to identify the shortcomings observed. 2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work needed, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc. 3️⃣ We make sure to stay in regular contact with the student's class teacher to monitor their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class. 4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class. 5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course. ✨ Why this profession My favorite moment is when a student starts explaining their approach aloud without me having asked anything. It means they're no longer trying to guess what I expect—they're thinking. The rest always follows. 🗣️ Lessons in French or English. Response within the day. An initial exchange of approximately 20 to 30 minutes maximum will be free: I prefer to understand the situation before proposing anything.

It is with the utmost admiration and gratitude that I extend my effulgent endorsement for David, the epitome of mathematical tutorship. His fervor for the subject and his pupils is steadfast, and David’s commitment to ensuring proficiency and comprehension is manifest in every tutorial session. His availability is most pliable, as he exhibits a constant readiness to alter his docket to accede to the necessities of his students. This adaptability is rare and precious quality, one that has played a seminal role in my time near the finals. Not only do he demonstrate devotion during his scheduled lessons time, for he is always approachable for additional guidance and support outside his hours. David’s unwavering dedication to the academic success of his students is truly remarkable and deeply appreciated by those who benefit from it. What distinguishes David is not solely his mastery in mathematics, but his amiable and cordial demeanour. He cultivates a genial and hospitable environment; and his pedagogy a harmonious blend of professionalism and conviviality. I consider myself fortunate to have availed myself of David’s instruction, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. In conclusion, if you seek a mathematics tutor, David Devidze should be your first port of call. His passion for the subject, commitment to his students, and affable personality makes him the ideal tutor for anyone seeking to enhance their mathematical understanding and aptitude. A true gem in the world of tutelage

Baia was instrumental in helping my daughter prepare for the OMPT-F exam. From the very first lesson, she was organized, knowledgeable, and focused on the areas that mattered most for success on the test. What sets Baia apart is her ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, structured way while building confidence at the same time. Her engineering background gives her a deep understanding of mathematics and allows her to explain not only how to solve problems, but also why the concepts work. She provided targeted practice materials, mock exams, and clear guidance on the key topics that carried the highest impact. Baia was always responsive to questions between lessons and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was fully prepared. Thanks to her support, my daughter developed a much stronger understanding of mathematics and a more positive attitude toward the subject. She now approaches challenging problems with far more confidence than before. I highly recommend Baia to anyone preparing for the OMPT exams, university mathematics, or looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and highly effective math tutor.

Benoit is friendly and patient and has a good sense of when to challenge and when to take a step back. My son, who is 8, really likes his lessons very much. He loves math, especially working with big numbers, and at school it isn't always possible to work on calculations as he would like. After few lessons he already learned new techniques for calculations he likes to experiment with and Benoit also managed to challenge him to try some new and more advanced things. I think this type of lessons is more tricky to prepare, at least until the teacher gets to know well the capacities and character of the child, as there are not based on the child's curriculum or homework to be done. Benoit is always open to discussion and if my son finds something too challenging, they take a step back and try another way or just agree to try another time when my son feels ready for it.
