English Standard & Higher Level for International Baccalaureate + English Reading, Writing, Speaking for All LevelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation: • Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours • Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places • Students develop the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of literary works, building understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism • The study of literary works in context is emphasised, and through the study of literature in translation the student is challenged to reflect on the role of cultural assumptions in interpretation • Students are assessed through a combination of formal examination and oral and written coursework. • The formal examination comprises two essay papers, one requiring the analysis of a passage of unseen literary text, and the other comparative response to a question based on two works studied • Students also perform an oral activity presenting their analysis of two works studied • HL students comply with an additional written coursework requirement which consists of writing a 1200 - 1500 word essay on one of the works studied

Vietnamese Language Coach in Da Nang| Master Vietnamese Central & Southern Accents |TESOL CertifiedTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Most people don’t struggle with Vietnamese because of grammar. They struggle because they’ve never used it in real life. You may know the words. You may understand the structure. But when it comes to actually speaking: You hesitate You translate in your head You’re not sure if what you say sounds “natural” That’s the gap I help you close. Not by teaching more theory but by putting you into real situations where Vietnamese is actually used. I don’t just teach you the language. I help you live in it. How I work with you: 1. Practical Vietnamese for real situations We focus on how Vietnamese is actually spoken in daily life and work, not textbook examples. You’ll learn: How locals really talk How to respond naturally How to stop translating in your head 2. Instead of just sitting in class, we go into real contexts: Ordering food Talking to locals Navigating daily situations This is where your confidence actually builds. 3. Understand the culture behind the language Because speaking correctly is not enough. You need to understand: Why people say things a certain way What is polite, indirect, or emotional in Vietnamese How to respond in a way that feels natural not forced But more importantly: I’ve helped people move from “I understand Vietnamese” to “I can actually use it in real life.” If you want to stop learning Vietnamese like a subject and start using it like a part of your daily life, We’ll start with a real situation you’re struggling with and work from there.

Digital SAT Preparation Support from a 1540 ScorerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Digital SAT Preparation Support from a 1540 ScorerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

TL;DR: If you're preparing for the Digital SAT and need guidance, I'm here to help. I scored 1540 (750 in English, 790 in Math) and am currently studying Quantum Technology at Aalto University on a scholarship. Here's everything you need to know: About Me I’m currently a first-year bachelor’s student at the School of Science in Aalto University, where I secured a highly competitive full-tuition scholarship thanks to my SAT score (1540: Math 790, English 750). I’ve been an SAT tutor for over a year now, teaching both group classes and one-on-one sessions. In total, I’ve helped more than 70 students reach their SAT goals. Back in Bangladesh, I worked as an SAT instructor at Mentors' and developed the SAT teaching curriculum at Noetic. With this experience under my belt, I’ve designed a teaching method that’s effective, flexible, and, most importantly, tailored to you. How My Classes Work The SAT is all about finding patterns and mastering the "game". My classes are structured to help you do exactly that. In each class, I will teach you some theoretical basics first and then make you go through some actual SAT problems related to those basics. It's not about me showing you how to solve, rather it's about making you capable to think like a 1500+ scorer. In the process, I'll observe your thought process and give feedback on where you are going wrong and what you doing right. Sounds impressive? Here’s the class breakdown: English Classes Words in Context Text Structure and Purpose Cross-Text Connections Central Ideas and Details Command of Evidence (Textual, Quantitative) Inferences Boundaries Form, Structure, and Sense Rhetorical Synthesis Transitions Math Classes Algebra: 3 sessions Advanced Math: 3 sessions Problem Solving and Data Analysis: 3 sessions Geometry and Trigonometry: 2 sessions Don’t worry; the number of classes is flexible. If you’re already confident in certain topics, we’ll skip them and focus on what needs improvement. This isn’t a cookie-cutter course—it’s all about what works best for you. Logistics Duration: Each class is 1.5 hours. Preferred Schedule: After 6 PM (but we can discuss). Class Options: Online (Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams) or in-person (either at Aalto University, my place, or yours (applicable for Espoo and Helsinki)). Why Choose Me? Sure, there are tons of SAT prep courses out there. But when you hit a wall or feel like your progress has plateaued, that’s where I come in. You'll choose me because — a) I have a high score, so I know how to crack this. b) I have taken the SAT on Oct, 2023 and since then taught more than 70 students all over the world. So, I am updated with the curriculum and process. c) I am already studying in a reputed university with scholarship leveraging my SAT score. So, I can guide through the admission process (be it in Europe or US) as well. d) I am a no bullshit guy. If you need 2/3 classes only, that's fine. If you need 20 classes, that's also fine. I am here to make money but not to exploit. So, I offer huge flexibility. I’ll help you: Identify the SAT’s patterns and tricks. Focus on your weak areas while leveraging your strengths. Understand the nuances of scoring 1500+. Navigate college admissions (both in the U.S. and Europe). Plus, if you’re up for it, you’ll get free life advice and philosophical discussions along the way. (Yes, seriously.) What My Students Say A lot of my students start off feeling stuck and overwhelmed but end up feeling confident and in control. They’ve told me that my approach is not just practical and effective, but surprisingly enjoyable too! The SAT isn’t just a test—it’s a challenge you can conquer with the right mindset and strategies. Ready to Get Started? Whether you’re aiming for a 1200 or pushing for a 1550+, I’m here to help you achieve your goals. Let’s make this happen together. Reach out, and let’s chat about how I can support your SAT journey. Looking forward to hearing from you!

In my Spanish lessons, you are the main character. Everything is personalized to you, from the content, to the pace, the activities and the interests you have. 😊 📚 These is what a Caro’s Spanish lesson looks like: ✔ Introduction and Needs Assessment: We start with a warm welcome and initiate a conversation to understand your goals, proficiency level, preferred learning style, and any specific areas you want to focus on (e.g., grammar, vocabulary, conversation skills). ✔ Customized Learning Plan: Based on the needs assessment, I develop a personalized learning plan outlining the objectives, topics, and activities for the session. Incorporating materials and resources that align with your interests, such as topics related to your hobbies, career, or areas of passion. ✔ Interactive Learning Activities: I like my classes to be engaging with a variety of interactive activities. For example: Role-playing scenarios relevant to your daily life or profession to practice conversational skills. Games and quizzes to reinforce vocabulary and grammar concepts in an enjoyable way. Cultural exploration activities, such as discussing Spanish traditions, cuisine, or literature, to deepen your understanding of the language in context. ✔ Continuous Feedback and Adjustments: Throughout the lesson, I provide constructive feedback and encouragement to support your progress. ✔Reflection and Goal Setting: Normally I finish the lesson with a brief reflection session, allowing you to share your thoughts, insights, and anything you found difficult. I look forward to joining your Spanish learning journey and making it a fun, interactive, and practical path. ✨

“ Trinh is fantastic! She is loving, very friendly, respectful, and radiates an incredible sense of calm. The way she teaches is just amazing. She brings a level of understanding that I have never seen in any teacher before. The kindness and the humor during our lessons – honestly, I’m at a loss for words. The way she explains the material and the examples she comes up with help so much to put everything into practice right away – especially the tonal exercises. Whenever she is surprised or excited, she shows it instantly with an authenticity that is truly unmatched. I don't want anyone else for learning Vietnamese! WOW WOW WOW. Her professionalism is also legendary. I feel comfortable the second we start studying, which makes me confident enough to just try speaking right away. I absolutely recommend her, whether online or in person. Just a massive thank you! :) ”

“ I enjoyed my class with Mirjam very much! She prepared nice exercises for me, but was also open to do some exercises from my own books in the future. She explains everything clearly and precisely, and I already notice a progress in my Dutch after just one class, as she gave me concrete advice and feedback on some errors that I have been making in my speach. The class atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, you don't have to be scared to ask any questions or make errors. I think that Mirjam's approach would be perfect for you if you are just starting, but also for us who are already speaking the language for some time but want to perfect it. All recommendations from me! ”

“ I take semi-intensive classes with Amel (three times a week) to learn Fusha Arabic and I enjoy it very, very much! Amel has a clear methodology that includes reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills. She also renders grammar somewhat fascinating by giving background knowledge on linguistic and sometimes philosophical structures. Regarding vocabulary, she also points out differences between Fusha and Tunisian derija, which is very helpful. I highly recommend and always look forward to my next class! Thank you, Amel!!! ”
