In this class the students will learn the basics of Italian. Depending on the individual level, specific classes of conversation will be provided. For beginners, an introduction on the sounds of the letters and to the proper pronounce will be provided. Beginners will get basic writing and reading skills (e.g. use of accents, how to conjugate verbs in different forms at the present, how to read a simple text with the correct pronounce). At the intermediate level, the students will learn to read more complex texts (with increasing difficulty) and to answer questions related to them. It is expected that at the end of the intermediate classes, the students will be able to distinguish between different verbal forms and to conjugate verbs at the past, the present and the future. It is also expected that they will be able to use those forms for writing more complex texts. Listening classes will be provided as well.
