My name is Francisco, I am an Argentinian guitarist currently living in Brussels. I am finishing my studies at the conservatory (KCB), but I have been playing for most of my life and teaching privately and in music academics for a few years already. Although my main focus musically is in jazz and improvisation in general, I am also into funk, blues, rock, pop, indie and folk. I would define my teaching style as flexible, in the sense that I believe in building a programme together with each of my students, in the which his or her specific musical interests are covered and the same time, diving into and developing the areas which I consider fundamental, regardless of the musical style or genre: rhythm and time feel, sound, technique, posture and fretboard knowledge. Some of the topics that we will cover: Repertoire (learning songs) Triads and scales Chords Metronome exercises Picking Left and right hand coordination And more!

Harmony, melody and rhythm is what music is made of. That's all. Those three things. Although sometimes these things can be hard to distinguish. Feeling music is a completely different story though and is not something you can measure or maybe even define. With understanding the basics or more profound structures in music you might find a new dimension with the feeling and appreciation you have for the sounds that you love. Answers, exercises, solutions. We can find them together in a quest to find your questions about eartraining and jazzpiano. We can work on fingerings with exercises in partition, specific voicings, left- and right hand coördination, eartraining exercises from beginner up to conservatory level and more specific issues. I studied three years jazzpiano at the Lemmens Conservatory in Leuven, Belgium and played keys in a pop/funk band based in Brussels for about the same amount of time. Now i work in construction but still play piano everyday because music is beautiful!

I have started to play when I was 6 with classical music, but since then I have studied and played in very different styles and formations (jazz, blues, rock, reggae, funk etc). Nowadays I play classical and jazz music mainly but I am also member of a rock band and a pop formation, and from time to time I make a trip to play blues, funk, reggae, folk or any type of music really, because every one of them has its own "secrets ingredients" what I love. Besides that, I give private lessons for adults and kids for more than a decade. I deeply believe in that and my experiences tell me: everyone can be taught to play on guitar. The only, but most important key is that every one of us has his own personal way to reach it. With your help, I am sure I will be able to find your key to the endless world of music. The lessons can be at your or at my place. Ervin

The rule is simple: don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself! Students are encouraged to try, fail, and overall be proactive in learning new information in bite-sized chunks: all of that in a warm and comforting environment. Depending on the personal goal of the student, we will learn/refine/explore the following topics: - Fundamental techniques of playing electric bass - Understanding and coming up with a bassline - What makes it groove? - How to improvise: soloing and walking bass - How to change the underlying harmonies of a song to make it sound cooler (or weirder!) - Understanding how the musical elements are glued in a song, and if you dare, how to write one yourself - How to learn music or play music by ear Languages: English (fluent), German (B1 and improving), Korean (native)
