I am a UK-based tutor offering online tuition in Italian and Spanish, (all levels including GCSE and A-Level), French up to KS3/Year 9/basic conversational level and English as a Foreign Language. I teach all ages from infant school pupils to mature students, tailoring the lessons to suit their age and goals. I worked as a secondary school languages teacher for four years after graduating with a first-class degree in Italian and Spanish from Leeds University. I have an up-to-date DBS check and am also a CELTA-certified TEFL teacher. Comments from some of my online students: “My husband and I have been having Italian lessons on Skype with Alison for several months now. Alison has a quality camera and headphone system that makes you feel like she is in the room with you. She has a very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient teaching style along with a perfect Italian accent which is invaluable for learning the correct pronunciation. Our lessons are followed by homework via email, which is then discussed the following week. We weren't sure how lessons on Skype would work but we couldn't be more pleased at how successful they have been and we would not hesitate to recommend Alison to anyone who is thinking of online learning.” Sandra, Wickham Bishops, Essex “I have just begun to learn Italian with Alison, and the online lessons are great. Alison is very patient, but when I make errors will provide me with feedback, which is always positive. Her emails with additional work have always been prompt and the supporting reference books have been good. I was a little nervous at first but Alison's warm and fun approach to Italian is great. Very reassuring and very personal as if she was in the room. The lessons are easy to connect too, brilliant fun with easy to follow examples. The hour passes so quickly and best of all I am developing at my pace. Very good and fun tutoring provided by Alison. Highly recommend.” David B., Portsmouth “When I retired I began looking for something that would occupy some of my time and mentally stimulate me. I found a beginners Italian language evening class at my local college. After completing the course I moved onto the next intermediate stage, but I was struggling with the listening and speaking aspect of language learning. This is when I turned to the search engines and found Alison. Contacted her, arranged my first lesson, and I have been having weekly lessons with her since July 2020. She has helped me with my pronunciation and grammar understanding through reading and using activity books in a friendly, relaxed manner. I have found Alison very helpful in my quest to learn Italian as she is very patient, explains why you should say a sentence in a certain way. Breaks down difficult words into smaller sections so you say the correct sound to pronounce that word. Language learning is all about practice and using Alison as part of your practice routine will only help you to improve. Felice apprendimento.” David S., Huntingdon. “I am a mature student and have been studying Spanish online with Alison for 6 months. She is an excellent teacher who has completely restored my enthusiasm for learning the language. I enjoy her lessons; they are varied and always interesting and I feel I am making good progress. Her extensive teaching skills are helping me achieve a long-held ambition, I have no hesitation in giving this recommendation.” Mary, Burnham-On-Crouch, Essex “Alison has consistently motivated, challenged and taught my son with interest and care. His Spanish, both written and spoken, is excellent and this is, in no small part, to the efforts of Alison to keep the lessons engaging and relevant. Additionally, Alison is well prepared with lessons, is always punctual and is very good value for money.” Caroline, Wickham Bishops, Essex “Great online Spanish tutor. Really thorough and really adaptable. Would recommend.” Julian, Greater Manchester “My husband and I have really enjoyed our recent online Spanish lessons. Alison gave us lots of ideas for resources to help with improving our conversational skills.” Alison, Wickham Bishops, Essex

Hi, I am Fausto. I am an Italian musician, trained in the classical guitar. I have been studying guitar since the age of fifteen at the conservatory in Sicily. I finished my degree at the BENEDETTO MARCELLO conservatory in Venice. I compose my own music in the classical style with the guitar. Within the genre of classical music I play, for example, Bach and Giuliani. As an electrical guitarist, I am used to playing with the fender sound, blues, and jazz. I offer lessons for people who would like a start in the guitar world. I enjoy teaching all ages and I am open to see what and how you would like to learn. We can learn the technical way or be more open with playing. For example with children, I am used to teaching with the book from the composer Sagreras. However, I am open if you'd like to improve in some song which you love!;) The music is my life, playing and learning new things is always what I'm looking up. I like teaching because having the possibility to give something really amazing to someone makes me happy and more real with myself. If someone loves playing and needs help, it would be amazing to be as helpful as people have been with me If you need some Italian lessons I am also Italian and I can offer Italian teaching as well. If You need some lessons you can count on me for conversation or grammatically lessons.

Languages open your mind to new cultures and opportunities. My approach is that of a Language Coach: my lessons are based almost exclusively on powerful conversations and learning without study books. Today everyone should speak and understand English! When the atmosphere is calm and peaceful, people learn by speaking, because they feel at ease and connect their mother tongue to the new language they are learning or improving.
