Besides being a native speaker, I’m into linguistics: I’m doing my Masters in Romance Philology (French Philology). I spent a semester in Montpellier, France and studied French and Comparative Literature in Montpellier Paul Valery University as a part of the Erasmus Exchange Program. I graduated in Art Theory and History from Tbilisi State University, so I have a deep understanding of linguistics and culture. Apart from learning the language, you will become acquainted with Georgian literature and culture during your studies.

Mariam was flexible and adapted seamlessly to my current level; she focused on vocab/phrases relevant to my time in Georgia (e.g. career, nationality) and pushed me to understand more, using Georgian sentences I hadn’t learned yet and encouraged me to infer through context. She wrote down helpful materials for me to review and learn from and gave a reasonable amount of work.

Mariam is a skilful, bright and passionate teacher. She will explain you a topic thoroughly and systematically, while making sure to put the new knowledge into practice right away.
On the other hand, if you are interested in linguistic details of a certain topic, Mariam will easily go in depth, down to etymology, since, besides being a native Georgian speaker, she is also an educated philologist. So, not only will you learn the general material of a lesson, but also discover fun, peculiar and useful facts and words along the way.
And I think this is the best about Mariam's style of teaching: it's flexible and adopting to *your* needs and interests.
