I've previously guided students through 'Rockschool' grades whilst teaching at Yamaha so I am very familiar with their grading criteria, but I also deliver lessons for students that purely want to learn their favourite bands/artists songs. My lessons will predominately be remote due to current circumstances but the sound quality will be of the highest level for the best lesson experience possible. Hi there! I’m a guitarist and music educator based in NW London, where I teach all styles of guitar playing, improvisation, music theory, composition and arranging. I’m prepared to teach music to children from age 5 upwards and adults. My aim as a teacher is to help my students find their personal voice and to make them enjoy the most from playing and communicating through music. I started playing guitar 19 years ago. At 21 I became a full-time musician, playing mostly jazz, funk and Brazilian music in venues around Porto, Portugal. 5 years ago I moved to London and did a music BA at Middlesex University and a Master's at Guildhall School of music and drama. Now I’m based in London, where I lead my own projects, play with a jazz orchestra, a percussion ensemble and a few jazz and Latin music groups.
