Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. I’ve been a guitarist since 1998 and studied Popular Guitar at FAAM and Music Pedagogy at UFSCAR in Brazil. In 2025, I graduated with First Class Honours from the University of West London. Alongside teaching, I’ve always been active as a composer, recording artist, and performing guitarist in numerous bands. Since 2016, I’ve owned and composed for Arken, a heavy metal band with three albums released. The main outcome of my classes is to help you truly own the instrument—playing comfortably, confidently, and improvise musically. From there, you’ll be able to learn and play any songs you want, and even create your own music if that’s your goal. Beginners and advanced players are equally welcome. Piano lessons are offered to children from age 5 and guitar lessons to children from age 7-8. From the very first lesson, students play their instrument while learning to read music. They are welcomed in a suitable environment. Lessons are given in small groups of 4 students (same age, same level) or individually. My name is Jason and I've been playing guitar for over ten years. I studied music at University in the UK and went on to complete a Masters in Music Composition. After finishing my studies, I turned my attention to live performance. Over the past few years I have been working primarily as a session musician and guitar tutor in and around the London area, UK. As well as teaching guitar I have performed in jazz ensembles, accompanied vocalists, hosted jam sessions and recorded with various artists whilst also occasionally working in musical theatre and improvisation projects.
