Together we will work on the accompaniment (swing, bossa, waltzes), enrichment of chords, improvisation thanks to the study of triads, arpeggios, scales and also by picking up solos in order to acquire vocabulary.
I have a lot of experience in this field because I have the chance to play and record with the best of the style, I will be happy to share it with you.

About Me

A concert performer since 1991, I have collaborated with the entire Gypsy Jazz scene in France and internationally (Europe, USA, Asia). I have recorded several albums and created a guitar method in 2016.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

My name is Jason and I've been playing guitar for over ten years. I studied music at University in the UK and went on to complete a Masters in Music Composition. After finishing my studies, I turned my attention to live performance. Over the past few years I have been working primarily as a session musician and guitar tutor in and around the London area, UK. As well as teaching guitar I have performed in jazz ensembles, accompanied vocalists, hosted jam sessions and recorded with various artists whilst also occasionally working in musical theatre and improvisation projects. I now reside in Luxembourg where I teach guitar.

Although I specialise in jazz and Brazilian guitar, I teach a wide range of styles including pop, rock, blues and classical. Our piano, singing and violin lessons are given to children from 5 years old. Guitar, saxophone, clarinet lessons, etc. from 7 years old.
