In order to learn a new language or improve your language skills, the key is to practice it and to get more familiar with the language by hearing and speaking it as often as possible. Therefore, my approach to teaching someone a foreign language is mainly through conversation. I usually chose a theme or a specific "real life situation" (job interview, going to the supermarket, answering the phone, etc.), in order to engage a discussion and to make the student talk as much as possible. I really want to encourage the learner to dare speaking, and not to be afraid of making mistakes. My main purpose is to see the learners improve their language skills by gaining confidence, which is mainly adquired by practicing orally, through conversation. It obviously implies learning new vocabulary, and improving their accent, which I believe can be achieved quite naturally thanks to oral practice. I am convinced - and I have seen it by the past - that with motivation and discipline, efforts can me remarkable !

My name is Arsène, I am a 21 year-old French student living in Oxford. As French is my native language, I can easily give French classes, individually or in group, no matter how old you are. My experience : During 2017/2018, I worked for an association, where I usually took care of adults or children groups, that had various issues (addiction, waiting for a visa, disability...) helping them to learn French, integrate into the society or just make friends and have fun. I also took care of three children last year in addition of my studies. During summer 2017, I worked for a fashion group called Sandro as a seller. That helped me being confident talking and helping people I don’t know.
