For the last 20 years I have taught hundreds of drummers both privately and in formal institutions such as BiMM London (formerly Drumtech), ICMP and LMA colleges. I have developed a strong reputation, helping musicians to sound great behind the drums. My priorities as a player are always to be able to make the band sound great. I work on fundamentals that are directly applicable in musical situations. Whether I help someone taking their first steps on the instrument, or professional players who want to fine tune their technique, I have a very similar approach: It starts with a dialogue, understanding the person I work with, a diagnostic then a plan to reach our goals.

The classes behave based on the interests and level of the student. The idea is to have fun and set objectives and goals to work on to simultaneously advance in technique and musicality when playing the drums. At the same time, there is constant work on posture, breathing and relaxation to improve the interpretation of the instrument and avoid long-term injuries. Usually the class is divided into two sections, the first with technical work to achieve greater ease and comfort when performing, exercises are given to improve musical rhythmic reading applied to the drums, coordination, speed, rudiments, drum exercises and different hits where we will experiment with timbres. The second part is practical; We will perform a repertoire of interest, we will practice rhythms, grooves, applying breaks and fills of different styles. All this aimed at working on musicality and intuition that allows developing a rhythmic "ear", improvising and even composing and arranging one's own songs. During lessons, we are able to go through any aspects of drumming (context, technique, groove studies, posture and ergonomics and much more).
