The lute is a plucked string instrument. Although a close relative of the guitar, the lute has had a different and distinct history, with the two instruments having co-existed during major periods of music. He is of Persian/Arab descent. In this course, I offer you the opportunity to know the basics of modal music theory, as well as the fundamental techniques of Lute/Oud interpretation. In this course you will immerse yourself in the world of classical Arabic musical pieces and you will be lucky to play famous pieces on the Lute after 8 sessions!!

I also hold a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and am currently studying Viola at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Alongside my academic training, I am active as an orchestral musician and regularly perform with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien.
