Hello! I am offering violin/viola lessons in Seoul and surrounding areas. I have been teaching in both the US and Korea for more than 25 years including university prep, afterschool programs, and music academies. I have a lot of experience in teaching students in all ages and levels. I have Masters and PhD in music. By the way beginners, you are extremely welcome!!! cause I can teach not only how to play the instrument but also note reading. You're in good hands! :) I am an open-minded, outgoing person and am very passionate about teaching. I put a heavy emphasis on building a community where my students get to know and give support to each other. We also give 2 recitals per year in the summer as well as winter. Welcome to my online Piano Class. I am Maria Papadatou, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top. I love all student levels, but only towards the classical piano, of any eras' works and composers. Don't be afraid, my lesson is human-friendly 😊 Everything goes step by step! Outside the lesson time, I send you short videos when needed, to support your practice through the week. As a Certified teacher on the official RSL Awards Teacher Registry (MusicTeacher.com), I can now offer the RSL Classical Piano programme - a well-established international piano qualification, equivalent in level to ABRSM but with more flexibility. Also, I'll help you understand and approach each composers' unique style, and secure your concert / stage presence, with simple and effective solutions for memorisation and control. I am a very proud piano teacher too, as, except all other distinctions, on Jan 11 2026 four young students of mine were awarded and invited to performed at the winners Gala at the Carnegie Hall in New York City! They also participated to the Juilliard School festival, with masterclass and lessons, a fabulous chance and experience that I wish all young pianists could have! I am a professional violinist and chamber musician with a Konzertexamen in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from the University of Trossingen (Germany). I also hold a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and am currently studying Viola at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Alongside my academic training, I am active as an orchestral musician and regularly perform with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien. My performing experience helps me guide students not only technically, but also musically and artistically. With my international performing and academic experience, I aim to help students build strong technical foundations, develop musical expression, and gain confidence in performance. Lessons can also focus on exam preparation, audition repertoire, chamber music coaching, and concert programs. I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed. A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
