She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well) She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Lessons can take place at your place or at my place (in the centre of Utrecht) as I have a beautiful grand piano at my disposal. In Utrecht (and surroundings) Houten, Vleuten, De Mern, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. For young, teenagers and adults, all levels, no previous experience necessary. Hallo allemaal! My name is Mar and I am a 26-year-old professional pianist (with pedagogical training) graduated from the master degree in Classical Piano Performance as soloist at the Utrecht Conservatory, now studying a second master in Piano Performance in Rotterdam, Codarts. I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir. I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won many international prizes in competitions as well as scholarships prizes. Let’s begin your musical journey! Perhaps this is the first time you are playing an instrument? Or you are picking it up having played it years ago. Perhaps you have a dream of where or what you would like to play...or want to improve specific skills to simply enjoy playing more. My aim is to create a path with you (or your child), to discover and develop ways to achieve your own musical goals. I offer 30-minute instrumental lessons – these are aimed at beginner students to build stamina, posture and basic playing techniques. You can combine this with an additional 30 minutes of musicianship, this is for children to build a solid foundation of musical skills –including rhythm, note reading and pitch, composition, tempo and more. Group lessons are possible for beginner players, these can be a fun and motivating way of learning together for students, however these would be regularly reviewed to ensure learning needs of each student are met. I would recommend 60-minute lessons for intermediate student/adult students – this is to work on more complex musical skills, exercises and pieces. Goals for lessons: Making music from day 1 Exploring and refining the craft of playing the instrument Setting reachable goals to build stamina, technique and musicianship Developing ‘inner ear’ with aural exercises Learning musical notation/composition Casual performance opportunities solo or in a group (if desired) Most importantly...having fun! About me... I have worked in instrument music education at schools, academies and privately for the last 12 years, whilst playing professionally as a freelance violin/viola player and conductor with orchestras, musicals and in community music settings in England. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and base my approach on the needs of the student, using experience in different schools of music teaching - including traditional classical Suzuki and Kodaly principles to more modern day improvisation focussed educators such as Christian Howes and Bobby McFerrin. Hello ! My name is Camille, I'm 26 years old and I grew up in France, where I completed my violin training with soloist Marie Cantagrill. I then obtained my Bachelor's degree at the University of Arts in Graz (Austria), and I also studied for a year at the Academy of Music in Krakow with Professor Wojciech Koprowski. Currently, I am continuing my studies in violin pedagogy (IGP – instrumental and vocal pedagogy) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW). Thanks to my experience with teachers from various countries, I have acquired a lot of knowledge in pedagogy, study techniques, musicality, etc., which I would love to share with you! In 2026 werd ik toegelaten tot zowel Berklee College of Music (VS) als Conservatorium Maastricht, waar ik ervoor koos mijn studie voort te zetten. Ik geef pianolessen aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus. Tijdens de lessen werken we aan pianotechniek, muzikaliteit, improvisatie, gehoortraining en muziektheorie, altijd afgestemd op jouw persoonlijke doelen en muzikale interesses. Je kunt kiezen voor klassieke piano, jazz, improvisatie of een combinatie hiervan.
