Biochemistry is the application of chemistry to the study of biological processes at the cellular and molecular level. It emerged as a distinct discipline around the beginning of the 20th century when scientists combined chemistry, physiology, and biology to investigate the chemistry of living systems. Chemistry seeks to understand not only the properties of matter, like the mass or composition of a chemical element, but also how and why matter undergoes certain changes — whether something transformed because it combined with another substance, froze because it was left for two weeks in a freezer, or changed colors because it was exposed to too much sunlight.

SVT, or Science of Life and Earth (biology and geology), is a very specific scientific subject. It requires students to have both good scientific fundamentals (logic, rigour, depth of analysis), and an understanding of phenomena affecting the Earth, the human body and the planet. But it also requires an ability to reuse all of this within a well-written development, so a certain ease in argumentation! Our home lessons allow support adapted to the student's objectives: face comprehension difficulties, improve the application of knowledge in exercises and homework, gain in efficiency thanks to the ad hoc methodology. The student may encounter difficulties in understanding or applying the course from middle school. Nevertheless, in high school, the pace quickens and the requirements increase, especially with the SVT specialty in first class.
