Do you want to learn to write, record or produce your own music? Or are you interested in sound design? Then I can help you further! Music production and recording technology may seem complicated at first glance, but in our 1-on-1 private lessons we can discuss the creative and technical tools you need to unleash your own creativity. Whether it's songwriting, recording techniques or beat making, we can do it all together. All genres are welcome. During the lessons we can learn to work with different programs, such as Logic, Pro Tools or Ableton. The lessons are for students of all ages and levels. Knowledge of solfège is not required. I studied guitar and music production at the Conservatory in Ghent and have been active as a professional musician for several years. I have 12 years of experience as a private teacher. I'm a certified sound engineer and I have prepared a course for beginners and early intermediates, who want to dive into the world of music production. I got my bachelor's degree in Music Technology and Acoustics at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. I squeezed out the most useful and meaningful knowledge of a four year curriculum into a 3 month course to help young people save precious time. Ableton Live and Logic Pro are two of the most widely used tools for creating music on a computer. I designed these courses to teach you the basics of DAW (Digital Audio Workstation): an overview of the necessary equipment, multitrack recording methods, the use of real and virtual instruments, creating rhythms and beats, adding sound effects, and final mixing. I also offer an introduction to synthesis (i.e., the use of synthesizers) for electronic music composition, as well as an introduction to an AKAI MPC. But first and foremost, how can you have fun while letting your creativity flow, whatever your style of music! I have been using DAW software for over 20 years (Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reason, etc.) and adapt my courses according to the needs and levels of my students. At the end of our courses you will be able to: • Record and mix your compositions on Ableton Live or Logic • Create your own beats on an Akai MPC • Record sounds in nature and transform them into soundscapes for your own compositions
