Fashion design can feel overwhelming when you are trying to build a portfolio, apply to university, improve your fashion projects or create your own collection. You may have strong ideas, but not know how to turn them into clear research, professional drawings, a commercial range or work that looks ready for the fashion industry. I am an industry fashion designer with experience across womenswear, youthwear, jersey, leisurewear, casualwear, partywear, graphics, product development and commercial collection building. I currently work in supplier-side fashion design, developing trend-led product for major high-street retail. I have also worked across girlswear, boyswear, menswear, luxury swimwear and private luxury collection development for high-profile clients. In these lessons, I can help you understand how fashion design works in the real industry. We can work on portfolio development, university portfolio preparation, trend research, customer research, mood boards, colour palettes, fabric direction, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CADs, technical fashion drawings, range building, tech packs and final presentation. I can also help you build your own commercial fashion design collection from concept to final outcome. This includes understanding your target customer, developing a strong design direction, creating a balanced range, refining silhouettes, choosing colours and fabrics, and presenting your work in a way that feels polished, current and professional. My main specialism is womenswear and youth-market fashion, especially trend-led product for teenage to young adult customers. I can also support projects across girlswear, boyswear, menswear and swimwear, helping you understand how design changes depending on age range, customer, fit, fabric, price point and brand direction. My teaching style is friendly, practical and honest. We will look at your current level, your goals and what your work needs in order to improve. My sessions combine hands-on demonstrations, guided practice, and critical discussions to ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of both technical and conceptual aspects of drawing. While I set high expectations, I also offer the support and tools needed for students to rise to the challenge. After most sessions, I assign homework to be completed by the next class. I certainly expect my younger students especially to complete these assignments. While my lessons are technical and follow strict parameters, there is plenty of opportunity for students to choose their own subjects and designs. I also highly recommend my student take excellent notes during my demonstrations and instruction time. I will always share my own notes and sketch journals so the student has a goal in mind. After a section of tuition has been completed (equal to a half term) I examine the notes and give feedback. I am happy to work online or in my studio space if you’d prefer in person technical support with techniques. A bit about me: I have BA in fine art and specialise in sculpture and installation, and have explored and still enjoy many other medium throughout my career. I’m really enthusiastic about sharing creative understanding and supporting developing artists. I also have a wide range of interests and inspirations, so if your looking into a topic, chances are myself or one of the artists I’ve worked with has most likely researched it! .

This class is to teach students how to improve their English literature work for GCSEs. I’ll assign homework after lesson and mark it and explain how it could be improved. Each lesson will be fun and helpful to pass your exams in the future.

I'm a Fine Art graduate from University of the Arts London (UAL) - I currently specialise in photography and videography. However I have taught a range of different art disciplines from painting, drawing, design, crafts and sculpture. On a regular basis I teach children from ages 4-11 but I have experience teaching teenagers and adults as well. During lessons we can focus on a particular discipline such as painting or drawing, work on a project that someone has already started in their own time or I can assist with portfolios or sketchbooks for GCSE/AS/A Levels/Foundation/Degree. These classes are for everyone, ranging from fun creative art play for younger years to older years wanting to learn a new skill or develop a hobby. Having the ability to be creative and explore art is so beneficial for both children and adults and I aim to make my lessons as supportive, fun, engaging and positive as possible.

A great artist should be able to draw a wide variety of subjects with confidence and creativity. This includes drawing people with accurate features and expressions, creating beautiful landscapes with depth and detail, and illustrating flowers with delicate shapes, textures and natural beauty. Good drawing skills come from careful observation, understanding proportion, practising shading and using lines effectively. Whether drawing portraits, countryside scenes, buildings, plants or flowers, a skilled artist should be able to bring each subject to life and develop their own creative style.
