Graduated with a Master's degree from EPFL - Gives Maths lessons for Compulsory School / Federal Maturity / 1st year EPFL, MAN, CMS / BacTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, where I also worked as a student assistant for 4 years, notably for the CMS (Special Mathematics Course), the MAN (Upgrade), as well as for several first-year Bachelor's courses. I also served as a corrector for multiple exam sessions and wrote a handout for a course for Master's students in Mathematics at EPFL. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to support many students in successfully completing their first year, often considered one of the most demanding. Today, I offer private math tutoring for all levels, from compulsory schooling to the Swiss Federal Maturity Certificate, as well as for Bachelor's students needing support in subjects with a strong mathematical component. Currently pursuing a doctorate in Germany, I offer exclusively online tutoring. However, I have extensive experience in distance learning, having had the opportunity to support numerous students in this format. Passionate about teaching, what I appreciate above all is seeing students' progress, their confidence and their growing understanding. My methodology is based on an intuitive understanding of concepts, through simple and clear examples, as well as structured support in reasoning. I place particular emphasis on solving exercises, because it is through regular practice that we consolidate our knowledge and truly progress in mathematics.

University Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus, Analysis, Number Theory, Linear Algebra,...)Translate this text using Google Translate.

You are a university student and have trouble with your math courses? Don't fret, I'm here to help! It doesn't matter whether you are a math student or from a different major, whether you are from an applied background or struggle with pure maths - the lessons will only cover what you need. Mathematics has a lot to do with practice and getting familiar with the way of thinking logically. With my help and guidance, I am sure you will become confident in solving problems and understanding mathematical concepts. The lessons will be tailored to your needs and their structure depends highly on you: usually it is a mixture of repeating the content, solving exercises together, summarising important concepts and talking about exercises you tried yourself at home. The topics, content, pace and methods of learning will be adjusted to your needs, ensuring that you get the most out of my lessons. Besides the lessons, you will get "homework" to work on to strengthen your skills and independent working. Topics include, but are not limited to: -Trigonometry -Geometry -Linear Algebra -Calculus (limits, derivation, Integration, etc.) -Set Theory and Metrics -Analysis (functions, Taylor series, etc.) -Algebra (Group/Ring/Field theory, Galois theory, etc.) -Number Theory (sequence and series) -Probability (statistics, stochastic processes, etc.) -Logic and Proofs -Numerical Analysis -(Algebraic) Topology (Homology theory, etc.) If you have another topic in mind that you really need help with, just send me a message! Whether you need someone that explains the concepts to you or just someone to practice exercises with - I am sure I can help you. You have an exam soon and want to review the main topics? No problem! You have a very specific problem, question or topic that you need help with? I'm here to answer any questions! The most important part of my lessons is, however, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment - I have no issue with explaining the same concept over and over again until I am convinced that you have understood it. It is important to me that you feel comfortable in asking any questions - I want to show you, that Math is more than a subject and that it can be fun!

Private Mathematics Tutoring in Vienna Online: for beginners and intermediates levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Hello dear learners have been teaching Mathematics in public primary education since 2016 and I hold a Certificate of Pedagogical Qualification. I am passionate about helping students understand mathematics in a simple and effective way. My teaching method is based on adapting lessons to each student’s level and learning style. I explain concepts step by step, using clear examples and practical exercises. I encourage students to participate actively and ask questions, so they can build confidence and improve steadily. A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous topics, followed by the explanation of new material. Then, we practice together through guided exercises before the student works independently. I always end the lesson with a summary and feedback. I am patient, supportive, and attentive to each student’s needs. I focus not only on academic success but also on building motivation and self-confidence. My lessons are suitable for primary school students, beginners, and intermediate learners. I also help students with homework, exam preparation, and strengthening their mathematical foundations. I have experience teaching both in schools and on online platforms, which allows me to provide engaging and well-structured online lessons. Best regards.

“ Emily is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend her. She is incredibly patient, dedicated, and very good at explaining difficult concepts in a way that makes them easier to understand and connect together. What I especially appreciated was that she did not just explain the material, but also kept pushing me to think through problems myself and improve my understanding step by step. She was always willing to go over things again when needed and made sure I understood the reasoning rather than just memorising procedures. I worked with her while preparing for my Linear Algebra and Calculus exam, and I ended up receiving an 8.5. Her support and guidance played a very important role in helping me prepare properly and feel confident going into the exam. I am very grateful for all of her patience, effort, and dedication, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive tutor. ”

“ Izhar is an excellent tutor. He is very professional, knowledgeable, enlightening, insightful and adaptable/receptive to individual student needs. My tutoring session with him was really amazing and transformative for me and I highly recommend him. He keeps his lessons effective, engaging and fun. He customizes classes based upon your level of understanding. He conveys his knowledge of complex material in a manner which is easily understandable. If you want someone to work with you and ensure you progress like I have, go with Izhar. ”

“ We found Thomas's information matched the most our needs so we invited him to be my son's tutor in preparation for EPFL examination. My son's feedback that he gave a very clear definition and in details so that he can understand and catch up with the new knowledge quickly. They have had 7 hours working together and will have many more in the next three months. We are very happy and feel lucky to have Thomas teaching my son. ”
