I offer piano and composition lessons for advanced musicians, to refine their technique, enhance their performance, or prepare for competitive exams (CRR, CNSM). Customized support, with listening, pleasure, and high standards! Below is my biography. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music (New York), Jules studied with John Corigliano (1999 Oscar winner for Best Film Music), who praised him as “a remarkable talent with impeccable technique.” Alongside his studies in philosophy, he has received several distinctions: the Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet Foundation for Vocation (2010), the Excellence Scholarship from the Catholic Institute of Paris (2013), the Banque Populaire Corporate Foundation (2015), the Île-de-Créations competition (2017), the Grand Prix Lycéen des Compositeurs (2019) and the Bartók World Competition (2023). His collaborations include artists such as Jodie Devos, Bruno Philippe, Thomas Dunford, Anastasia Kobekina, Kotaro Fukuma, Justin Taylor, Frank Braley, Paul Meyer, the Hermès Quartet, the Zadig Trio, as well as orchestras including the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre de Picardie, the Toulon Opera Orchestra, and the Æon Music Ensemble. His work spans a wide spectrum, from solo piano to large orchestra, including chamber opera and string quartet. Also active as an improvising pianist, he also manages the estate of his father, a painter and sculptor. In 2023, he published his first novel, Gaspard, with Éditions Léo Scheer. The following year, he composed the music for the feature film Island by Nora Jaenicke, starring Fanny Ardant and Joanna Kulig, as well as part of the soundtrack for the film Une affaire d'honneur by Vincent Perez. Jules is currently completing his second novel and composing several privately commissioned chamber music pieces. His works are published by Éditions Billaudot and Éditions Lacroch'.

As a Spanish teacher for foreigners, my primary goal is to create a dynamic and accessible learning environment where each student can progress at their own pace and develop the linguistic skills needed to communicate effectively and confidently in Spanish. Course Approach: Practical communication: From day one, I focus on providing students with the tools necessary to navigate everyday situations. This includes learning greetings, introductions, asking for directions, shopping, talking about likes and daily routines. Applied grammar: Grammar teaching is contextual, meaning I don't just explain rules but teach students how to use them correctly in real-life situations. We start with basic structures at lower levels and progress to more complex tenses such as the subjunctive and verb periphrasis at higher levels. Vocabulary expansion: I offer a thematic and functional approach to vocabulary, covering areas like family, work, travel, health, and leisure, ensuring that students can communicate fluently in a wide variety of contexts. Development of the four language skills: Classes focus on listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing in an integrated way. This is achieved through activities such as debates, text writing, audio and video comprehension, and role-playing. Cultural interaction: A cultural approach is encouraged in the classes, where students not only learn the language but also customs, idiomatic expressions, and regional variations of Spanish. This helps them understand cultural differences and communicate more authentically. Constant practice and feedback: I provide ongoing feedback, correcting mistakes and guiding students toward more precise communication. Additionally, I incorporate practical tasks where students are faced with real-life situations (such as making presentations or writing formal emails) to apply what they've learned effectively. My commitment is to support each student in their learning process, creating a safe and stimulating environment where they feel comfortable and motivated to advance in their mastery of Spanish.
