This comprehensive course is designed to build and strengthen core literacy skills in reading comprehension, English language proficiency, and academic writing, with a special emphasis on essay development. Through a structured and scaffolded approach, students will explore a range of literary and non-literary texts while learning how to analyze, interpret, and respond to them both critically and creatively.
This flexible course allows for teaching of all elements of English, core elements which include reading, writing, and possibly even speaking.
For the course materials, I will provide the required texts, many of which can be found online and discussed more in person. As a university student double majoring in political science and legal studies, I have read and discussed more than a hundred texts, so I can guarantee satisfaction!
