Hi ! My name is Rudy, I'm 21 years old and I'm a native French speaker who's visiting Australia, and Sydney in particular, as part of my graduate studies in solar energy engineering. My current level of English is B2, and I would like to become fluent, which is why I am currently in Australia. I'm a student at the University of Sydney (UNSW) for 4 months, until September 2024, and I'd like to take advantage of this to come and meet you, whether remotely or in real life, to offer you a complete course, with worksheets and exercises that I've prepared. Once you've had a lesson with me, you'll have the resources you need to continue learning on your own, and a well-detailed guideline for continuing serenely on your own. You can of course continue to take lessons with me so that I can correct you and continue my course so that you have a follow-up. This course is suitable for children, teenagers or adults. I'll adapt to you and tailor my lessons to your expectations and your level! Just a small advice, to learn this language, you'll need to practise speaking and listening to it a lot (everydays), because that's obviously the best way to make progress. It's a bit like a baby who hears his parents speak every day and doesn't understand everything, but ends up becoming what we call a native speaker. We will work a lot on these aspects and you will love learning French!

I have graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, which has really helped me further my vocabulary and grammar. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is entirely on natural discussion centered on books, writing, and cinema. We will chat about character psychology, narrative themes, and storylines. We can even read and analyze short book excerpts or script pieces together, depending on what makes your heart beat faster. As a writer, I'm especially interested in how language creates emotion, reveals personality, and brings stories to life. Together, we'll explore not only what characters say, but why they say it that way, and how you can use those same natural expressions to sound more confident and natural in your own English. Don't worry—you don't need to be a literary critic to enjoy these lessons. We use stories as a starting point for conversation, not as an excuse to overanalyze every page or scene. Whether you enjoy discussing your favorite novel, breaking down an unforgettable movie scene, or simply chatting about fictional worlds, the goal is to create a relaxed environment where English feels alive and enjoyable. It's all about enjoying the language instead of seeing it as something intimidating. Yes, I will correct your mistakes, but mistakes are one of the most valuable parts of learning. They show us what to improve and help build lasting confidence. My goal is for every lesson to feel engaging, encouraging, and something you genuinely look forward to. MULTILINGUAL LISTENING SUPPORT: To make your lessons completely stress-free, you are welcome to use your native language whenever you get stuck. I have a strong passive understanding (listening and reading) of several languages, which means I can easily understand you if you speak or write in: •English (Fluent - MA Degree) •Serbian (Native) •Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese & German (Listening & Reading comprehension) Note: While I mostly understand these languages when you use them, our actual conversation and explanations will be conducted in English or Serbian. TECHNICAL DETAILS FOR ONLINE LESSONS: I conduct my lessons via Google Meet (the easiest option—no installation required, you just click the link I send you) or Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference. During our sessions, we will actively use screen sharing, digital learning materials, and interactive notes to ensure your learning experience is highly effective and engaging.
