Lute classes for all levels. The course will focus on basic techniques (right hand figueta, left hand scales), reading tablatures (Italian, French and Spanish), and developing repertory, starting from early Italian renaissance up to late baroque. The course also provides basso continuo classes (figured bass technique of harmonizing early music). My approach aims to stimulate the reading from the original sources, both tablature and basso continuo, but I also use modern versions (Tree Edition´s books). Early music methods: Diego Ortiz, Milan and Narváez treatises. Modern methods used: Pascale Boquet and Andrea Damiani The course can also provide theoretical classes, in the case the student may need.
