Learning a new language can be exciting, but also challenging, especially for children who are still finding their place in a new country. My goal is to help children feel more confident, comfortable and successful speaking Dutch. My name is Ieke and I have been teaching since 1995. I worked as a primary school teacher from 1995 until 2008 and later specialised in teaching Dutch as a second language (NT2). This combination gives me both educational experience and a strong understanding of language learning. I offer personalised Dutch lessons for children aged 8–11 years old with an international or expat background. For me, safety and connection come first. That is why we always start with a short introduction meeting to see if there is a good match and to understand your child’s needs. Together we create a personal learning plan. My lessons are practical, interactive and tailored to your child. No boring worksheets for hours, we learn through conversation, meaningful activities and topics that fit your child’s interests and world. From there, we work on vocabulary, grammar, speaking and confidence step by step. My aim is not only to teach Dutch, but to help children feel more at home in the Netherlands. Focus on conversation, listening and understanding texts. Ideal for kids, students and adults who want to learn the Italian language. I have a long experience in tutoring as I am a Piano teacher. In Italy I used to teach music for more than 8 years, both in private and public school. Ti aspetto!

German as a foreign language can be hard, especially regarding the grammar part. Always focusing on the structures of the sentences can be challenging and demotivating when trying to connect the sentences in a communication environment. That is why with the help of this class, you'll get more confident in building strong sentences without the stress usually involved. As a foreign speaker of German of over 5 years, there's no other person that understands the struggles better than I do. We will cover all the fundamentals with the background of grammar and syntax so that we are able to create a strong base for future advanced levels.

Is your child struggling with French at school? Does she/he have difficulties with grammar, spelling, or reading comprehension? I would be delighted to help. We will work together on her/his lessons, review the theory, and address his/her specific challenges through practice exercises. Is the CEB or CE1D exam approaching, and you want your child to be as prepared as possible for success? I offer structured and effective support to help her/him prepare for the CEB or CE1D exams in French under optimal conditions. I will provide personalized preparation lessons tailored to your child's needs and level. We can review grammar and spelling together, practice reading comprehension exercises, develop writing skills, and, of course, practice with sample CEB or CE1D questions. I can also help her/him better understand the expectations and instructions, as well as provide guidance on exam methodology. My goal is also to boost her/his confidence, solidify the foundation, and support her/him not only with the theory but also with the personal aspects, allowing her/him to progress. Lessons will be online, either via Google Meet or Teams. If you wish, we can also create a virtual classroom containing all the completed and upcoming exercises.
