Holder of a State diploma of saxophone teacher (French pedagogical diploma) as well as a Master of interpreter of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, it's been 15 years that I teach in the Lorraine Region (Conservatoire de Nancy, Epinal, School of Music Intercommunal Thaon Vosges and Metz ...). On the artistic level, my experience and my tastes are varied, I was practiced as a soloist in harmonies (Concert band of the city of Metz, military music), as well as in music training. room (Trio Resonances, saxophones and organs, fanfare Narodna balkans music, Colectivo Ensayo error ....) I also lived a year in Argentina, where I could play and teach in Buenos Aires. I speak English and Spanish fluently. I adapt my learning method according to your needs, desires and goals. Work of breathing and posture, technical exercises, memorization and improvisation, classical, contemporary or contemporary music repertoire. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try!
