I graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts and the Statd Basel Music Academy.
As a teacher, I regularly work as a substitute at the Musik Konzervatorium Zürich. I have a Fest Orchesterstelle in Chur, in the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden and I play with the Opernhaus Orchester Zürich, the Basel symphonieorchester and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
I teach the theory of cello and music in German, English and French with you or at home.

Although learning a string instrument requires patience and is not always a pleasure to listen to, especially at the beginning, the cello makes things more pleasant for the learner and his / her environment thanks to its low register and warm, soft sound.
In addition, the playing position is upright and natural. Last but not least, there is wonderful music for the cello to discover and learn!

Ioanna gives her student body a lively and enriching approach to music. In this way, she awakens the joy of the variety of cello playing. I teach my students how to play the cello and use it to express their inner voice. I'm currently doing my master's at Luzern Hoschule and I have already taught privately for 5 years and was also a professor at a music academy.

I always try to pick the artistic side of my students and give them the tools to express themselves. Every class will be adapting to the student's struggles and evolution.

My student's ages go from early age to adult and elderly.

In these cello lessons you will learn the basics of playing the cello, from the correct position of the instrument and bow to first melodies and simple etudes and more demanding pieces. The lessons are individually tailored to your needs and abilities and promote both technical skills and musical expression.
Depending on requirements, I can also teach the basics of jazz, pop and new music and am open to any (song) requests from my students.
