I've taught various youth art camps, drawing classes for adults, and more. Currently, I'm studying fine arts at Zurich University of the Arts, but I have also studied on exchange at Tokyo University of the Arts, and an atelier in my home town. About Me

Born in Calgary, Canada. Studying at Zurich University of the Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts. Emily is currently living in Zurich, Switzerland. Her inquisitive nature has led her down many paths of exploration in a variety of mediums–from oil painting and watercolour to sculpture, Textiles, and glass. She paints miniatures, no larger than an inch, to several meter-long tapestries and continues to explore new media and subjects. Her work often depicts people, places, and objects from her life. She is an avid pleinair painter, prioritizing working from life whenever possible. Emily has exhibited in Canada and internationally in Zurich and Tokyo. In this upcoming workshop you will get all you need to get started the right (and safe) way:

► Equipment and Materials
You will learn which brushes, surfaces, and additional equipment are best to work with, and which non-toxic
paints, mediums and brush-cleaners you need to make sure are the safest for your health.

► Techniques
The two most important techniques - Fat over Lean (Wet on Dry) and Alla Prima (Wet on Wet) - will be introduced and demonstrated.

► Tips and Tricks
"Secret" keys - Painting from life, Light effect, Composition, Blending, Fixing, Temperatures, Values, will be discussed.

I am a French electrical engineer who wants to teach children and adults how to build dioramas. The lessons take place at my workshop in Kloten (next to the train station).
The aim of these lessons is to empower you with the skills and knowledge necessary to transform any of your imaginative concepts into reality. Whether you want to build a diorama for decoration purpose or to make game scenes (eg D&D or Warhammer), I will teach you, step by step, how to create your vision. You will learn which material, paint, glue to thing and how to use them appropriately and safely. I teach in English, French or German.

Learn to make drawings/sketches with pencil and graphite (9H to 12B).

Each session will allow you to discover and practice a specific technique. Between two sessions, targeted exercises will allow you to progress in a measurable way, in small steps.

In drawing, there are no miracles: it is practice, training, perseverance, which are the sources of progress.

I am a freelance illustrator with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education (ZHdK) and a Master's degree in Illustration (HSLU) – and have been successfully working independently for publishers, companies, and agencies for over seven years.
