You don’t need to know anything about drawing, painting or printmaking. We can build up together your own way of observation and if you are self-taught then bring over your artworks and we will talk about how to develope your style or discover new paths of your own expression.
Each session will focus on different theme, providing wide range of techniques to raise confidence through various drawing approaches including still life, life drawing and portraiture.

In this upcoming workshop you will get all you need to get started the right (and safe) way:

► Equipment and Materials
You will learn which brushes, surfaces, and additional equipment are best to work with, and which non-toxic
paints, mediums and brush-cleaners you need to make sure are the safest for your health.

► Techniques
The two most important techniques - Fat over Lean (Wet on Dry) and Alla Prima (Wet on Wet) - will be introduced and demonstrated.

► Tips and Tricks
"Secret" keys - Painting from life, Light effect, Composition, Blending, Fixing, Temperatures, Values, will be discussed.

Learn to make drawings/sketches with pencil and graphite (9H to 12B).

Each session will allow you to discover and practice a specific technique. Between two sessions, targeted exercises will allow you to progress in a measurable way, in small steps.

In drawing, there are no miracles: it is practice, training, perseverance, which are the sources of progress.

All materials will be provided to you (pencils, papers).

During the first session, a series of examples of my creations will offer you a concrete overview of the techniques and styles that I can help you master.

Learn Watercolor Painting techniques, step by step approach to painting using watercolors. Learn different techniques using watercolor such as dry on dry, dry on wet, wet on wet. Understand which brush, papers, colors to use for effective painting. Even if you are beginner or know watercolor painting, this class would be useful. Paintings are done from scratch-pencil sketch, then different layers of watercolors.
I also tell some tips so as not to mess around during painting.

German:

You can start from a photographic model or hide a shot following your imagination.

I am a freelance illustrator with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education (ZHdK) and a Master's degree in Illustration (HSLU) – and have been successfully working independently for publishers, companies, and agencies for over seven years. In addition to my own artistic practice, I have been passionately teaching analog and digital illustration for several years.

As a lecturer on a design preparatory course, I spent six years preparing students for applications for design apprenticeships and degree programs – and I am very familiar with the requirements of the creative industries and art schools.
