Theatre, Script writing and storytelling through different methods of performance.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Theatre, Script writing and storytelling through different methods of performance.Translate this text using Google Translate.

As a writer, you will marry your creative mind with your artistic foresight, creating dynamic pieces of multimedia that ask questions, compel conversation and, most importantly, tell stories. In this class you will gain the key skills required to write a story from start to finish. You will then learn how to develop an idea into a play script for theatre - enquiring into genres of poetry, scriptwriting, and comedy in order to bring your creative endeavours into practical, tangible pieces of art. This class aims to offer you the confidence to use your voice to entertain, engage and provoke. Using storytelling methodologies and a holistic pedagogy, you will be guided through the history of theatre, the birth of voice in entertainment and its ever changing status within the creative arts. You will taught by a graduate of both the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, with a breadth of experience in Writing, Acting and Directing. The craft you learn will be based on the syllabus and Methodologies that i found to be most pertinent professionally and will give you an insight into how I work presently on scriptwriting projects as to further your own understanding of the industry.

English as a Foreign Language (Conversational English skills)Translate this text using Google Translate.

English as a Foreign Language (Conversational English skills)Translate this text using Google Translate.

English has often been described as the 'language of the world', and for good reason! It is a language that allows many people from a multitude of countries to build new lives, pursue new careers, build new friendships and strengthen existing relationships. Many classes and course focus predominantly on the more advanced side of the English language, and whilst this is a very important part of learning English to a fluent level, for the majority of everyday people, the ability to converse and communicate with other English-speaking people is the most important skill they wish to develop. That is what we will work on predominantly in my classes, before proceeding to the more advanced and technical skills and knowledge required to reach English fluency. When we begin learning how to ride a bike, none of us want 10 hours worth of technical knowledge thrown at us about how a bike works or the history of the bicycle......we want to get on the bike and have fun! We will begin learning AND using these conversational English skills straight away, whilst also learning about the English culture too, which will play a key part in being able to understand English people at times. All of these will be conducted in a friendly, informative and fun environment, with interactive tasks and exercises designed to get you using and practising the language. Extra help and advice alongside these lessons will also be offered at no extra cost! Please get in touch if you have any questions, or if you would be interested in booking a lesson!

English grammar, reading and writing for Japanese (Any level)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Because of a sudden transfer to the UK, children may face many problems in English. Especially for children in local schools and international schools, it's necessary to enhance their English since all subjects are taught in English. However, English taught in the schools is different from the Japanese way and it may confuse children. In this class, you'll learn English from the foundation in Japanese. By focusing on grammar, reading and writing, you'll get a powerful English skill for school. Also, you can prepare for Eiken which is useful in Japan when you return.

Beginner Flute Lessons - all ages and abilities welcome!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Beginner Flute Lessons - all ages and abilities welcome!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Have you always wanted to learn the flute but never knew where to start? Are you a student confused by your school lessons and wanting a little bit of practice outside of class? My name is Sachi, I'm an American-trained flautist, and I'd like to make learning an instrument accessible, fun, and easy for musicians of all ages and abilities. I am a 3rd year student at the University of Bath, but I first picked up music when I was 12. Growing up in America, I had the opportunity to participate in marching band, concert bands, wind ensembles, and orchestras. However, it was only when I began taking private lessons that I realized how incredible and transformative music can be. My lessons instilled a sense of discipline, confidence, and love for the arts that I would now like to share with you. This course begins with the basics, but can be adjusted for whatever level you are at! Items on the course include: - Flute set up: hand position and stability - Beginner's guide to reading music - Sight-reading - Tone and the 'sweet spot' - Breathing - From Classical to Baroque to Modern and everything in between! - Flute music from around the world - Extended techniques (singing and playing, harmonics) - ABRSM prep If you have any questions feel free to get in touch. Please provide your own flute (if you would like advice on purchasing a flute, let me know!). Music stand, flute stand, and beginner practice books would be helpful but can be purchased at a later date or lent from me.
