English speaking singing lessons for all voice typesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

English speaking singing lessons for all voice typesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I hold a BMus in classical Music (voice and piano) from Goldsmiths University, London, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Studies from the Royal Welsh College of Music, for which I was awarded the Geraint Evans vocal scholarship to study with the world-renowned Opera singer Suzanne Murphy. I have been a professional opera singer for over 15 years, and have taught throughout London and the South East of England both privately and at specialist schools such as the Jasper Allen school for Performing Arts in London. I understand how daunting it can be to sing in front of someone - especially for the first time. Your voice is your own precious instrument. One that requires respect and care. My aim is to help you build self-confidence, find your voice, and express yourself through music. As your vocal teacher, I will help you to set goals that develop your unique instrument and bring out your own personality. We will work on building a solid technical foundation including breath control and voice placement (classical and pop)through all musical genres, from Madonna and Prince to Mozart and Sondheim. Everyone and anyone - all ages and ability are welcome! I'm based in Eaux-Vives. I also run a new non-audition adult choir on a Monday and Thursday evening.

Discovering or perfecting the double bassTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Discovering or perfecting the double bassTranslate this text using Google Translate.

🎻 Want to discover the double bass? How about we do it together this year? For young and old alike, let's get to know this great instrument! As part of my Master's degree in pedagogy, I want to dedicate time to mentoring two people as they discover the double bass. Today, I want to use my experience to teach, while continuing to explore, play, and refine my teaching methods. Currently I am a professional double bassist in a symphony orchestra since 2016, graduated with a Master's degree in performance from the HEM of Geneva in 2018, and have years of experience in the Alexander Technique. Whether you're a child or an adult, a complete beginner or already a musician, the idea is to start with your desires and curiosity: discover this instrument, learn to play it, explore its sound, movement, and listening skills... and above all, enjoy making music. 🎶 I am deliberately limiting this offer to 2 people, so that I can really take the time to build the courses with each person and offer personalized support. And what about the formula? Lessons can be paid at a pay-what-you-want rate depending on your situation and I am also open to an exchange in the style of a "time bank": a double bass lesson in exchange for a skill...to be imagined together! If you know that little musician in you who might like this idea, spread the word 💛 See you soon and happy back-to-school season to everyone!

“ Julien helped me learn the material for my university statistics exams. He was very patient and gave very clear explanations about the concepts we were discussing. He was friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. He prepared material in advance for each lesson depending on my personal needs. I'm pleased to say he helped me succeed in my final exams despite the fact that I'd never really studied statistics before! I am very glad I chose him as my tutor and I recommend him to anyone else seeking mathematics or statistics tutoring, whether in person or remotely. ”

“ Had my first lesson with Cuihong and really enjoyed it. She helped me with basic pronunciation (so good help for a complete beginner like me) and taught me some interesting tidbits. She was also very quick and reliable to answer my mails through Apprentus, and is a friendly person. Looking forward to continuing lessons with her! ”

“ I had my first class with Matheus and I can say he is a very good teacher! Great didactics, took his time to help me with my hand position and open to teach me the kind of music I want to learn. Also, he is a super friendly guy. Definitely booking more classes. ”
