Basics of Music Production, Beat making and sound design

At the moment I am studying at the magistracy of the composition department in Haute école de musique de Genève. In addition, I already have two full educations - choral (secondary) and composer (higher). I graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory as a composer, took part in concerts and competitions in Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland as a choir singer or pianist. I also participated in international educational programs and seminars for composers: -International Academy of Composers in Tchaikovsky (Perm, Russia; September 2019) - Composer courses of the reMusik festival in St. Petersburg (Mai 2019) -International seminar for composers from MolOt-ensemble in St. Petersburg (November 2018) I have a great pedagogical experience of individual and group lessons (tutoring and working as a teacher at the summer city music camp in the St. Petersburg Academic chapel) I write music for piano, instrumental ensembles, choir, orchestra and electronics. I work with students of any level: -With children (development of basic musical skills) -With adults (we’ll build the lessons plan you need) -With students preparing to enter a higher educational institution (preparation for exams, closing certain gaps in knowledge)

I offer organ or harpsichord lessons for all ages and all levels. This is an individual lesson centered on the needs and objectives of each student. I also offer keyboard improvisation lessons for all ages and levels. All styles can be approached according to the student's interests (classical music, pop music or jazz as well). Organist and concert harpsichordist, I perform in concerts in Europe and have taught in various conservatories in France and Switzerland.

I have professional experience in different music schools in France such as: Henri Dutilleux regional conservatory in Belfort, Soufflenheim music school, Mertzwiller music school and Neudorf music school. Currently I am a student in a master's degree in mixed music composition (electronic music and instrumental music) and I also offer courses in composition, theory, analysis, and different software such as Reaper, Cubase, Finale, AudioSculpt, etc.

For those who want to learn to play, understand the basics of music theory, and invent music, I teach lessons focusing on the needs and wishes of my students. My classes are both very organized and enjoyable. We understand together the link between the body and the instrument, the different parameters for the correct interpretation of music. I also focus a lot on the creative and inventive aspect of music.

I obtained an AFA, which corresponds to a mid-term certificate at the Popular Conservatory of Music, as well as music theory certificates from the same establishment. I am delighted to share my knowledge by being as attentive as possible and adapting my teaching. Patience and consistency are my driving forces, allowing anyone to express themselves through music.

I'm twenty four years old. I finished my maturity in the summer of 2015 in the Kantonsschule Wiedikon in Zurich in the musical field. With 8 years I started my first piano lessons, which were mainly focused on classical pieces and theory. As soon as I chose my musical orientation in college, I received an intern teacher, who helped me to develop my improvisational skills and introduced me to genres like Jazz, Blues & Boogie Woogie. My teaching experience I developed mainly during my civil service, where I introduced asylum seekers via projects to the diversity of music. With my well-tempered attitude and patience i find it easy to transfer the knowledge I have and am very adaptive to different kinds of learning behaviors. Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. Music has always been my way of exploring the world — through raw field recordings, synthesis, and emotional storytelling. Over the past 12 years, I’ve developed a complete, self-sufficient creative process: from concept to composition, sound design to vocal production, mixing, mastering, and live performance. I’m passionate about helping others gain those same end-to-end technical skills — so they can bring their own musical vision fully to life. As Malvae, I’ve written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed all of my work. My music reached #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathered millions of streams, and featured in international film productions including King of the Streets and Netflix’s Terrace House Japan. One of the most formative moments in my career was my Amazonas album project, where I traveled into the Amazon rainforest to record and manipulate natural sounds. 90% of that album was created entirely from these field recordings, reshaped through granular synthesis and advanced sound design into a cohesive sonic journey. That experience deeply shaped how I approach my music and how I teach sound design and composition. I’ve headlined shows at iconic venues like Melkweg Amsterdam with immersive, self-built audiovisual live sets using Ableton Live, modular gear, sequencers, and Resolume for live integrated visuals. I curated my own events and performed at venues like A’dam Tower, OT301. I also teach at studios such as Wisseloord in Hilversum, guiding students through the technical and creative intersections of sound and performance. Selected Works & Collaborations: My EP Like Bees to a Hive began as a soundscape for fashion brand Lobomar’s collection Final Orders, Please, presented at the Amsterdam World Museum. I collaborated with South African poet Julia-Beth Harris, integrating her spoken word into a seamless, atmospheric release. From sequential Prophet 6 textures to ADX1 drum machine layers and detailed field recordings, I handled every layer, from concept through multitrack production to the final live performance in London. My Chrysalis EP, released as a limited-edition heavyweight red vinyl, pushed that even further, combining ethereal vocals, analog grit, and unique textures to craft an emotionally rich release. I personally led every part of the project’s technical and creative execution, from arrangement and vocal production to final mixing, mastering and vinyl press preparation. In addition to my own projects, I’ve worked as a vocal producer and mixing engineer, including on Esther Veen’s EP Before I Go, where I handled recording, complex vocal layering, creative processing, production, multivocal arrangement and final mixing to deliver a polished, high-impact sound.
