Learning the fundamentals of writing and composing English text can help you advance in your studies and professional career, especially if you deal with international communication, academic research, or public speaking. The principles taught here apply to any modern language.

This class is designed to develop students' understanding of professional writing, academic language, essays, proposals, critical analysis, and stylistic structures. The focus is primarily on grammar, structures, arguments, audiences, purpose, context, and formatting (where necessary). In addition, you will have the chance to explore the basics of literary analysis.

I live in the Netherlands and study in the USA (by distance-learning methods). I also work as a writer and editor for several American and British corporations, which helps me stay up to date with the evolution of the English language. Usually, my students are university students, but I am willing to help anyone who wants to improve their linguistic skills.

Hello! I am from Madrid but I am living in Utrecht. I am a "cat", this means that I, my parents and my grandparents were born in Madrid. I love languages. I have studied English for many years, so I know what it feels like to learn and I have discovered the best tricks for both learning and teaching a language! I want to make you speak like a native! :)

Two years of experience and I love it! Before I studied funny things like theater and acting and then I worked as a web developer, so our topics of conversation can be very varied!

General English: I design the English course based on your personal needs, interests, and motivations. Based on your profile and existing level of English, the course would focus on a specific combination of grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

English for academic purposes: This course would cover the key aspects of English needed in higher education and academic contexts. In addition to grammar and vocabulary, the course trains the key receptive and productive skills needed in higher education. Receptive skills involve reading and listening to academic texts. Productive skills involve writing and speaking for academic purposes (e.g., research papers, research proposals, essays, presentations, and others).
