My name is Vasileios, also known as Billy, and I am a master's student in the Jazz Department at HKU in Applied Science. I am fresh in town, currently pursuing to finish my studies while bringing a rich background in music and education. With nearly 15 years of experience in classical harmony, counterpoint, jazz harmony, and performance, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Music from the Liszt Ferenc Academy in Budapest, Hungary. My primary instrument is the drums, but I am also proficient in jazz piano, vibraphone, and body percussion In addition to my musical background, I am experienced in Konnakol, the classical Indian rhythmic language, which has further deepened my understanding of rhythm and enhanced my teaching techniques. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in teaching, with over 5 years of experience in rhythm lab education, body percussion, and leading jam and improvisation workshops for students of all ages. My approach combines technical skills with creative expression, fostering an open and engaging learning environment. I am a positive, calm, open ,focused, and disciplined person who enjoys engaging with students and clients alike. I speak fluent English, Greek, a have a good knowledge of Hungarian, and I just started Dutch lessons to better integrate into the local culture. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my musical expertise and teaching experience to all of you are interested, I believe my diverse skill set and passion for music education will allow me to make a meaningful impact with any of you. I am a classical percussionist and a drummer, with many years of teaching and playing experience. I completed a Bachelor and a Master course in classical percussion in Italy, now I am studying a Master in Jazz & Pop drums at the HKU in Utrecht. I have an excellent knowledge of musical theory due to my studies and I love teaching because sharing my passion with others is important to me. I have experience teaching many students, between the ages of 5 and 50, since I was 18. I taught in two music schools, led projects in kindergartens and gave percussion instrument lessons in high schools. I trained students as percussionists in two school orchestras. Additionally, I used to write and produce learning materials with my students, to encourage accessible learning. My main teaching objective is to help students to find their personal way of playing and studying, without forgetting the most important thing; having fun. I understand that music should be fun, and those students not having fun will not get the best results. I usually start my lesson with the basics such as reading music, holding sticks and posture. I evaluate the student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to reflect and evoke healthy self-criticism, to help them improve with a positive attitude. I always try to inspire my students, and at the same time I am inspired by them, as by playing music together we can learn a lot from each other. Whilst my students have learned a lot from me, likewise, I have learned a lot from my students and this has been very valuable to my development. I believe I would be an asset to you, because I am a flexible, open minded, experienced teacher.

Hello everyone, I am a drummer from Greece, currently living in the NL(Utrecht).During the previous years I have been playing in many bands with different genres, from middle eastern fusion to metal and Latin and I'm currently studying in a Jazz&Pop conservatory. The lessons are designed according to your goals and repertoire, so feel free to join the lessons regardless of your age/level/music genre! During the class, we're going to work towards the things you'd like to achieve, but also the ability to play with others and improvise! Having followed many Alexander Technique programs, I find it very important to develop some basic techniques to avoid injuries during playing and studying, but also share some tips for stage fright and stress while performing!

Beatboxing is a relatively unknown discipline, even though it allows for an absolutely incredible musical variety: percussion, whistles, bass, special sounds straight out of an alien movie... our body is an instrument in itself, and learning beatbox is accessible to everyone! (Take a look at some beatboxer videos online, you'll be amazed!) I'll take you step by step, starting with easy and useful sounds, gradually moving towards impressive, fun sounds, or those of your choice. In addition, I practice with you and complete your knowledge of music theory and particularly rhythm when necessary.
