I have more than 40 years of experience with the English language, have lived in South West England for > 16 years and worked for many years in business in both the UK and the Netherlands. With a lot of hands-on experience with the language and internally improving the language use of international colleagues (Thailand, Philippines, Dutch, etc.), I now also have a TEFL/TESOL Teaching Certificate and have now focused on teaching.

I also enjoy teaching and tutoring in the Dutch language for non-native speakers and am happy to help you broaden your knowledge of not only the language but also Dutch customs and traditions.

About Me

I teach lessons that are varied in content and therefore certainly remain interesting; with a touch of humor here and there because that is certainly part of the English language. After having lived in various countries, including Portugal, France and the United Kingdom, I now live close to Alkmaar (NH). My knowledge of the English language in particular, but certainly also other languages, has always contributed to good contact with people locally and in the business world, as you always have 'added value'. Now I would also like to teach locally in people's homes and online. I am a Vietnamese native (born and raised in Hanoi) who has lived in the UK for 2 years, and now in my 8th year living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am currently working full-time at an international Dutch company and tutoring Vietnamese is my favorite hobby!

This class will introduce you to various aspects of the Vietnamese alphabet, grammar, and spelling. I will also provide speaking practice at the end of every class. This class is designed for those of you who are interested in the Vietnamese language, as well as Vietnamese culture.

New vocabulary for each topic will be discussed. My study background is in Mathematics and Statistics, thus with the combination of languages you can expect 'a bit' of reasoning logic behind all lessons I give (which I think gives some structure to the lessons as well)!
