My teaching method is based on the development of several axes of study specific to the musical style that you wish to deepen. Depending on your needs, we will focus on technique, accompaniment, rhythmic work, improvisation, harmony and ear work. Theoretical or practical, I like that all the concepts discussed are closely related to the instrument and do not remain abstract concepts.

For beginners the important thing is to have fun quickly through pieces that we have carefully selected together according to your level and your desires. They will serve as a support to lay solid technical and theoretical bases so that no gaps hinder your musical journey whatever your ambitions.

With intermediate/advanced students for whom the taste for the instrument and the eagerness to progress is well established, we will study advanced technical, harmonic and theoretical notions. Depending on the style you want to deepen, we will develop your qualities as an improviser, accompanist and soloist by studying scales/modes, chords/their different inversions, asymmetrical measures and many other notions through solos or accompaniments noted by me.

My lessons are intended to give you the keys to progress and learning so that you can be autonomous in the work and the discovery of your instrument while having fun.

First of all, congratulations on getting this far: finding the right teacher is not easy, but the hardest part is behind you.

My method is innovative and differs from the classic French system (obsolete and archaic):

The student learns to become independent and autonomous by integrating technical principles applicable to different scenarios, somewhat according to the philosophy of Asian martial arts (but rest assured, nothing martial here, everything is done flexibly).
My lessons are fun, and are aimed at beginners as well as experienced ones.

The first step consists of first validating a few quick theoretical and technical bases. This is a crucial step to progress quickly and efficiently: what is a grade? A deal ? An arpeggio? A range ? How to hold a pick? In what position to play?

Once the basics have been acquired, the student can learn pieces of their choice or work on particular playing techniques (picking, alternate picking, tapping, etc.) always in accordance with their needs, and above all their desires! Obviously the content is adapted to each person, the same goes for the style: Rock, Blues, Pop, Variety, Reggae, Metal... the possibilities are endless.

For those who wish to risk it, the theme of improvisation is also on the program:
Contrary to popular belief, this discipline is not reserved for the elite or the experienced, everyone is capable of it with a little training and an appropriate method.

Music is an artistic field, everyone can see a future in it as long as the motivation is there!
