Because you are looking left and right for information, advice and books to read but you are getting scattered. You constantly watch chess videos on the Internet which are entertaining but it is too passive an activity which does not really make you study chess in depth. Then you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the general principles. In fact, you have developed bad reflexes because you keep repeating the same mistakes without even realizing it, which is why your level quickly stagnates. When you analyze your games, click on the 20th move and you will realize that often your game is already badly engaged. You often manage your time badly, you play too fast when it is important to choose the right voice and you hesitate too long in positions where the moves are obvious. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Can is a great teacher. I took my first guitar lesson with him after learning to play easy things on my own for two years and getting stuck on more difficult things. Can teaches music and guitar from a point of view that makes sense and makes it easier to understand how everything is structured. He can easily pick up mistakes from your playing, point out things to improve and provide excercises to work on those. After only few meetings I feel I have better understanding on the theory behind guitar playing, I feel I have improved technically after being stuck with my progress for quite a while, and I have a drive to learn more again. Would definitely suggest lessons with Can!
