My accounting and finance courses are aimed at students in colleges and universities (bachelor's level). Before starting private lessons, I usually ask for a description of the student's current course so that I can best prepare the sessions. My background in civil engineering has instilled in me a problem-based learning approach. My teaching method is therefore primarily practical, as the most important thing for analytical subjects is being able to solve any type of problem. And to do that, you need to do as many as possible. During my studies, I realized that the best way to understand a subject is by doing exercises on it. However, a certain foundation is necessary. That's why I usually start with a brief review of the subject and provide a formula sheet with the important formulas and concepts when needed. Then, I work through one or more typical exercises with the student, explaining the steps involved. Finally, the student will do exercises on their own, using the formula sheet (using formulas is the best way to remember them). I will then be there to assess their understanding, answer their questions, and help them when necessary.

I am an incoming student at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, where I will be studying English and Chinese. I am already quite familiar with English, as I use it on a daily basis. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to go on an immersion trip to England, which allowed me to work on my pronunciation and develop my vocabulary. I also have Spanish-speaking people around me, who has helped me improve my vocabulary and fluency in that language. I try to adapt as much as possible to the student's needs as well as the teaching method that works best for them. Everyone is different, and so are learning styles. I will discuss the student's preferences with them to tailor the lessons, helping them view English, French, or Spanish in a positive light. Learn to think with the great philosophers of the past! In these tutorials you will learn - about the ideas of some of the most famous and influential philosophers of the modern age, - how to read and understand original philosophical texts, - most importantly, how to become a critical thinker and philosophise on your own. In ten tutorials (each two hours long), we will follow the development of modern philosophy from the 17th century to the present. We will start with Descartes, look at Spinoza, Locke, Hume, Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer and Nietzsche, and end with Wittgenstein and Heidegger. We will cover topics in the philosophy of mind and language, in epistemology, metaphysics and ethics. Kevin holds a PhD in Economics, specialising in data analysis and econometrics. Between 2020 and 2026, he taught courses in econometrics and statistics at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), the University of Namur, and the Catholic University of Lille.
