Juris is a magna cum laude graduate from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels from which he holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Music.

Juris began studying music with Mr. A. Strauss, later graduating with excellence from Music High School in Ventspils, Latvia. In 2012, he was awarded 2nd prize at the K. Davidov international cello competition. Juris also performed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017 at the winners' concert of the Grand Prize Virtuoso competition.

He has performed in over a dozen international festivals and masterclasses in Belgium, Netherlands, Latvia, Bulgaria, France, and Switzerland. Numerous times at festival ‘Jong Talent’, ‘Rencontres musicales Internationales d’Enghien’, Tibor Varga Academy in Sion, and Autumn Academy of La Loingtaine. Notable masters include Natalia Gutman, Stefan Popov, Gary Hoffman, and Francois Guye.

With orchestras, Juris has performed cello concertos by J.Haydn, A.Jurjans, and C.Saint-Seans. He has appeared as guest artist in Ventspils Chamber Music Days and given recitals with the outstanding Japanese pianist Katsura Mizumoto.

Alongside solo and chamber music repertoire, Juris has studied contemporary compositions, including works by W.Rihm, S.Reich, and M.Gordon. He has also developed his own projects with a focus on music by P.Glass and P.Vasks and artwork by Thomas Corbisier, and video collaborations with Anton Vodenitcharov.

Most recently, Juris has developed partnerships with the American pianist Andrew Wright and YES Camerata.

Juris is also an academically accomplished law student. In 2019, he was awarded a law degree with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He is also a Merit Scholar at the George Washington University where he is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree in Intellectual Property.

Hello to everyone!
My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!
Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher.

The most important thing for me is listening to music. If you are studying music as a hobby or in preparation for your professional career, we will help you achieve the greatest efficiency and get the most out of it by making our job easier. It is clear that learning music requires discipline and work, but can be interesting and expandable.

The flexibility lies in the main features of my classes: My goal for my graduates is that they need a digital method that they have to adapt to their personal attitude and style. The offer of classes for individuals and private groups of all students and the duration of the course are also flexible and depend on the training of the student (most of the little ones that Suelen was able to aprovechar in the last media lessons). Classes can be in Spanish, English, Dutch or Greek.

Language and music theory are presented in all classes, but in an organic form and with a lot of immersion in practice.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing.

No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. Adapting to your tastes, we'll go from baroque to blues, from Haydn to bebop... or even Michael Jackson. Why not?

My name is Miriam, I am a graduate in Master of Classical Music at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent.
I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 10 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed.

A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why.

I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are.

A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.

I am a professional cellist based in Vienna, Austria, currently active as a soloist and chamber musician. I offer individual online cello lessons in English, German, Italian and Japanese. I studied at a National Conservatory of Music in Italy with a full scholarship from the Italian government, and subsequently continued my studies at the Music Conservatory of Vienna. My professional experience includes working with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra as well as performing in opera productions.

For the past three years, I have been teaching cello in music schools and within musical associations in France. This experience has allowed me to work with a wide variety of students: children who are beginners or already musicians, teenagers, adult beginners, as well as people wishing to take up the cello again after several years of interruption.

This diversity of students has convinced me of one thing: there is no single right way to learn music. That's why I adapt my teaching methods to each individual, taking into account their age, level, needs, personality, and above all, their goals.

For children: I aim to create an environment that is structured, fun, and motivating. Technical learning remains essential, but it must be accompanied by curiosity and enjoyment. I use a variety of exercises and tools, sometimes more innovative ones, to make musical concepts concrete and facilitate understanding. The goal is to allow the child to progress while gradually developing their autonomy and confidence.

For adults: Have you always wanted to learn the cello? Did you start when you were younger and want to pick it up again? It's never too late to rediscover the joy of playing. I adapt to each person's pace, without imposing any predefined goals. We can work on the basics, gradually review technique, explore a repertoire you love, or delve deeper into specific aspects according to your interests.
I can also integrate music theory concepts directly into instrumental work when it is useful.

Above all, I want to share my passion: beyond technique, what motivates me in teaching is the act of passing on knowledge. I love seeing a student overcome a difficulty, understand something new, and above all, gain confidence in their playing.

Rachael Lonergan has been teaching cello since 1989. She was a coach for the Suzuki Music Program of Los Angeles for twelve years, and the cello coach for both the New West Ventura Youth Symphony and the Avanti Chamber Orchestra. She was on the faculty for the Southern California Suzuki Institute in 1996. Rachael also taught chamber music classes at The National Cello Institute from 2003 through 2019. In 2006 Rachael started the San Fernando Valley Cello Ensemble (SFVCE), which consists of students from her studio.

She was coordinator of the Suzuki Cello Graduation for the Suzuki Music Association of California Los Angeles branch from 1996-2017 as well as coordinator of the American String Teachers Association Area I and II Competition from 1999-2006. She served on the Los Angeles Cello Society Board of Directors for ten years, was their membership co-chair for four years, and coordinated the annual Student Honor Recital.

Rachael has edited three books in collaboration with Last Resort Music, played on several motion pictures, a Gloria Estefan music video (at 2:36 in video) and was featured in an Air Supply video. She was principal cellist of the West Valley Chamber Orchestra for eight years, where she was featured as a soloist performing works such as Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in Bb, Haydn’s C Major Concerto, Saint-Saens Concerto No. 1, Vivaldi’s Double Concerto in g minor, Boccherini’s Concerto in Bb, Faure’s Elegie and Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, among others.

Rachael's students have won top awards in competitions such as ASTA, PTA, VOCE, SYMF, LAVS, YAG, and Memorial Awards, among others. Her students participate in chamber music programs at Colburn, and JCM as well as local youth orchestras such as CSUN, Conejo Valley, LAYO, and Colburn. Numerous students have won concerto competitions and have performed solos with various orchestras. 95% of her students are also members of their school orchestra in addition to being members of the SFVCE which performs regularly throughout the year.

Students have gone on to pursue a degree in cello performance at Oberlin, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody, UCLA, Gonzaga University, UCSB, Cal State Long Beach, Lawrence University, and Baldwin-Wallace College while others have minored in music at USC and Stanford. She has several former students that are now private teachers as well as performers.

Rachael thanks all the teachers who have influenced and shaped her playing and teaching over the years: Gretchen Geber, Rick Mooney, Richard Allen, Peter Rejto, Matt Cooker, John Walz, and Andrew Cook. Without their influence, guidance, and support she knows her life would be very different.

Learning to her is a lot like life, and the journey itself is much more important than the end. She is a product of all her teachers, and feels that as she continues to teach, she keeps learning and growing with each student. It is a never ending process.
