I am unique in that I believe in all my students abilities.

I have been living in Italy for the last four years, three in Rome and one in Taranto so can also speak Italian if it helps. Before that I was based in Austria, where I qualified.

I love travelling and getting to know different cultures. I have lived and worked in over 50 countries and I want to hear your stories as much as mine.

My particular expertise is providing preparatory tuition and support to candidates taking IELTS, OET (Occupational English Test) or Cambridge ESOL exams (eg. B2 First). However, I also have extensive experience in teaching all aspects of general and business English to all levels and ages.

Previous roles include working for a large, UK recruitment company where I provided online tuition, mentoring and assessment to groups of nurses in India and the Philippines and later, also Spain and Italy. I was a team member charged with facilitating these candidates’ success in IELTS (and later OET), in which they were required to achieve a minimum band score of 7 in all four sub-tests. This was essential to qualify them to work in the UK’s NHS.
