I teach painting techniques, that I develop from traditional painting, oil to water based mediums- acrylic and oil paint, tempera and mix media, depends on your interest I can guild you with developing your skills and finding your expression.

Art is our gift to understand ourselves and create a space for our mind to explore what is meaningful for us.

I am grateful to have you in my artistic career to share my knowledge and the light in our artwork.

I can help you with choosing instrument (first months best choice is to go for rental so you can decide what feels comfortable for you), give you first exercises and help with short and long term direction.

Art is a great way to express your feelings and is a great life skill. It allows you to see life from a different perspective and it makes you feel alive. Art has always been an important part of human society since the beginning of time. Art has been used as a tool for cultural exchange, education, and expression.
I've finished an art college and it is a big part of my life. I am happy to share my skills and experience with others who have an interest in art. I have an experience in working with children, but I'm also happy to teach adults.

Artistic experimentation is an integral part of exploring oneself and the surrounding environment.
This programme has been carefully curated alongside young artists over the course of six years and integrates different forms of visual expression such as : sculpture, installation, performance, drawing, painting and many more.
We explore unexpected parallels in art history and visual techniques, building up a wide range of artistic references and technical knowledge in a playful environment in order to explore the sensitivity of our own bodies, thoughts and the world around us.
Although the programme is compiled both with genre, technique and art history in mind, there is always space for adaptation according to the preferences and visual tastes of the student.

My background lies in visual arts and media. I have experience working with kids, helping them develop their painting and creative skills. My approach encourages them to see the world differently, engaging playfully with materials and enjoying the creative process, complete with its unique stories.

Hi! I'm Julia, a Fine Art student at HKU, and I love helping kids explore their creativity through art. I offer fun, personalised art classes for children aged 4-13, where they can experiment, express themselves, and develop their artistic skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I grew up in Asia and the UK, so I'm fluent in both Dutch and English-meaning I can also mix in some language tutoring if that's something you'd like!
I've worked with kids for years including two years as an art teacher at Hampstead School of Art in London and as a painting instructor at Timberlake Summer Camp in the US.
I truly believe that creativity is one of the most valuable things to nurture from a young age. My own love for art started in childhood art classes, and I’d to love to help spark that same excitement!
