I am a singer/songwriter and freelance session vocalist by trade. My lessons focus on creating music rather than simply doing cover songs, although I can help you learn cover songs as well. I began my musical learning journey at the age of 16 with classical singing lessons. I quickly moved on to more contemporary styles of music. Between the ages of 17 and 18, I was lucky enough to be selected for the X Factor television show in France. Following the show, I learned to write my own music and have been writing ever since. My main goal with teaching is to instill a love and appreciation for music and to guide people in creating their own music.

Beatboxing is a relatively unknown discipline, even though it allows for an absolutely incredible musical variety: percussion, whistles, bass, special sounds straight out of an alien movie... our body is an instrument in itself, and learning beatbox is accessible to everyone! (Take a look at some beatboxer videos online, you'll be amazed!) I'll take you step by step, starting with easy and useful sounds, gradually moving towards impressive, fun sounds, or those of your choice. In addition, I practice with you and complete your knowledge of music theory and particularly rhythm when necessary. Logic Pro is a powerful but complex software tool that can be used to create everything from very basic recordings and compositions, to huge professional productions. You'll learn all the skills you need to set up and use Logic Pro; how to record and edit audio, use software instruments and plug-in effects, and how to mix and process your sounds. Lessons can either be conducted online, or at my studio, if you're local to Plymouth (it's not in a restaurant, I don't know why it says that!) I've been using Logic Pro for almost 25 years and have taught it at University level.
