I’m a qualified swimming teacher who is passionate about helping people feel confident and comfortable in the water while teaching. I used to teach swimmers of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners and nervous swimmers to those looking to improve their technique and take their swimming to the next level and looking forward to helping others achieve better confidence within this field.
My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each individual needs. I offer 1-to-1 lessons as well as small-group sessions, allowing me to give individual/s plenty of personal attention while also making lessons fun and engaging.
Depending on your goals, we can focus the lesson on areas that you feel you need improvement, not a scripted lesson plan that wouldn't make a difference.
My lesson plans will be structured in a way that you will be in charge of the lesson topic, with case scenarios to help you get a better understanding of the topic.

About Me
About Me
Two years ago, I took up swimming to recover from an injury, wanting to challenge myself with something completely new. That decision led me to swim teaching—and from my very first lessons, I realised I had discovered a hidden passion.
I started by teaching young children. Watching their confidence grow and witnessing their unbelievable progress made me fall in love with coaching. Over time, I stepped up into a Lead Teacher role, which allowed me to dive deeper into understanding swimmers' unique abilities and tailoring their individual progress. Alongside group classes, I began providing 1-to-1 lessons for adults, working with everyone from incredibly nervous beginners overcoming a fear of water to high-level swimmers refining their technique.
Specialised Experience & Adaptability
Over the years, I have developed a strong reputation for successfully working with children who face unique challenges in the water. I adapt my teaching style to match the exact emotional and behavioural needs of every student. My experience includes working with:
• Neurodivergent & Non-Verbal Swimmers: I have coached autistic and non-verbal children, building trust through patience rather than words.
• Extreme Shyness & Anxiety: I specialise in super shy kids who refuse to talk to anyone else—often helping them feel completely comfortable, smiling, and swimming within just two lessons.
• Low Resilience & Perfectionism: I know how to gently motivate kids who have a very low threshold for frustration—those who want to quit the moment they do not get a movement right on the first try.
• High Energy & Self-Control Challenges: I create structured, engaging lessons for hyper-energetic children and those who struggle with impulses or self-control in the water, keeping them safe while having fun.
My Methodology & Mentorship
Throughout my journey, I was incredibly fortunate to have amazing mentors who guided me, taught me the nuances of coaching, and gave me tools that many instructors never get the chance to learn in the workplace. Because of this, I want to pay it forward and support others who are navigating the challenges of this career.
If you are a new or developing coach struggling with the early stages of your career, I am here to help. I can guide you through:
• Building confidence when managing large groups of children
• Structuring high-impact 1-to-1 sessions
• Overcoming career anxiety and handling complex customer situations
• Navigating difficult cases where you feel stuck or unsupported
My Commitment to You
I believe in complete honesty and transparency. If you choose to reach out, my priority is to give you genuine value. I will always be upfront about whether I am the right fit to help you reach your goals, as I deeply value both your time and mine.
Please feel free to drop me a message so we can chat about where you are stuck and how we can work together to elevate your coaching!
Education
Alongside my hands-on swim coaching experience, my academic background includes completing a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Guildford College. Following this, I transitioned into higher education at Sheffield Hallam University, where I developed analytical and strategic problem-solving skills studying Financial Trading and Investment Management.
