Alongside my studies, I have a strong passion for English literature and language, honed through my bachelors degree and work experience, in, teaching, writing, and academic projects. I am dedicated to helping GCSE students excel in their English exams by developing their analytical, writing, and comprehension skills

These classes are meant for English and French. They will be prepared separately in order that you can book either of them or both of them. The classes are scheduled so that you learn you English from text books that the teacher has and can be presented online. For the French it is mainly learning and studying online with the support and extra teaching from the tutor.

My lessons are ideally for complete beginners to programming within the age range of 8-16. Programming can be a very creative and fun skill to learn. I focus on providing a solid understanding of the core programming concepts so that we can apply what we learn creatively to make interesting programs. I have my own content that covers fundamental computing concepts in an accessible way and I'm am working on more. I would be happy to provide general tutoring for Python or Javascript to help with revision or exams. I think the best and easiest way to learn a skill is to ensure that you enjoy doing it. This class is aimed at beginners in the field and intermediate learners with some basic background who would require assistance completing assignments or projects. It would cover working with data, statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning, all using Python, R, or both.

Im a classically trained singer (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London 2005 MMus BMus (Hons). I have extensive performing experience as a soloist and with various ensembles in opera, oratorio, musical theatre, jazz and pop. I’ve sung for numerous celebrities as well as royalty both in the UK and abroad. From 2016-2021 I taught singing in the Royal Palace in Muscat for the Sultan of Oman. I have 20+ years teaching experience covering all age groups but mostly focused on children and young adults. I teach absolute beginners through to professionals. I regularly enter students for ABRSM examinations with a 100% pass rate. I have a holistic approach to teaching and offer a supportive atmosphere for learning and enjoying music making. I have been learning Japanese as a hobby for the past 5 years and have achieved various certifications ranging from GCSE to A Level. I have achieved a level of verbal and written fluency to reflect this and would love to share my knowledge with beginners and people intrigued in the language. It may be a very different language to English, but it's interesting and defintely worth a shot at learning.

The class is to provide any supplementary help with Sociology at A Level. The aim is for it to be casual but to still have focus and clear intent. Sociology allows you to study the world around you. It is in our everyday lives! And, as you might have seen, a lot of theories come from old bearded men in the 20th century. So how can they possibly write about stuff that happens or is relevant in today's society? This is where you can use critical analysis to test how sociology works, and importantly, to use the tools it has given you to question what we take for granted. This is the main task of sociology; to defamiliarise the familiar. My teaching method is very much student-led. It is based on the problems that are brought to me so that they can be dissected, analysed and we can work together to see how to solve the issue. I know how it feels to feel like your question or problem is not worthwhile, or that you might feel a bit silly for not understanding something. However, I can absolutely say that you will never be the only person that has struggled with that particular concept or question (or whatever it may be!). I work on a no-judgement basis! Saying this, a lot of the time, students have an inkling about an answer, or partially understand concepts and theories, and more often than not they have the analytical tools to get there, but might get confused along the way or lack confidence in their abilities. It is simply about working through the issue logically. Sometimes just talking about it out loud can make it clearer! You generally know more than you think you do. It is about having confidence in your ideas. I am on track to receive a high class undergraduate degree in sociology, so hope to utilise the skills I have been developing over the past few years to help you in your studies!

Can cover a variety of KS3, GCSE and A level maths. I can teach a variety of different modules and subjects within mathematics. I can demonstrate how to approach questions, and provide a variety of practice questions and real life uses of the subject to keep the subject relevant.

I have a Masters in English Language and Literature along with Cambridge CELTA. In addition to this I have a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status. I specialise in teaching English to a wide array of students which includes primary and secondary and up to postgraduate level. I stretch my students to an extent where they are able to utilise their full potential to develop their skills to their respective discipline. I have the ability to give constructive and developmental feedback where the students can identify their own strengths and areas of improvement.

Music theory can be taught at any age and is a great way to really understand music. Whether you are learning an instrument or want to try your hand at composition, music theory is the foundation to all things musical. Classe are fun and upbeat, using a lot of interactive methods of teaching. Classes are suitable for those with additional learning needs such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD and Down’s syndrome. Classes can be tailored towards sitting theory exams if desired or internal testing is available.

I have experience in teaching both one to one and in a small classroom setting. My experience and knowledge has been gained through: A teaching qualification - TEFL. This involved presenting lessons in a classroom setting. Teaching at a Sunday school: I set up 4 different lesson sessions teaching children at 4 age groups. Working at music departments of the the BBC: I was a reviewer of music and created content on music for BBC websites. Being a volunteer for Music In The Round: I help out at gigs by assisting audience and band members. I have achieved a grade 8 in piano and have a post graduate certificate in music from Sheffield University. Helping others others to fulfil their potential is something I love doing, wether it be in music or in my other role as a trainer for Business Sheffield where I advise businesses on their websites. I am especially passionate about jazz and classical music. However I would first establish with the student/s what music inspires them and what music they would enjoy learning. Python is an open source language, used today mostly in back-end technology. It's easy to learn, and setting it up on a PC takes no time at all. There are modules just a Google away, if you have a particular interest - such as in data, or AI. In this class, you'll learn about basic syntax, documenting, and the Software Development Life Cycle - and how it may be used in a workplace - while moving onto more complex things such as procedures, and a GUI (Graphical User Interface).
