About Me

I followed the teachings of Vitaly Samoshko at the conservatory of Gent for 3 years as well as Roberto Giordano at the IMEP. I am now studying classical piano at the Lemmens institute in Leuven with pianist Jan Vermeulen. I also started training in harpsichord at the Brussels Conservatory (KCB) with Bart Naessens. I come from the Russian school by my teachers for about ten years. It is a rigorous school but I recommend the human approach.

I am a qualified English teacher from England. I obtained my bachelor's degree in linguistics at Lancaster University (UK) and will soon have my master's degree. I have been teaching English for over 3 years to students who wish to improve their English language skills or become bilingual. All my students are satisfied with my course and those who had entrance exams have passed successfully. There is nothing like having English lessons with a qualified English speaker ;-) I have done all my studies in English and in the United Kingdom, I consider English as being my first language among all the other ones I have learned. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. Currently in my final year of a Master's degree in Chinese studies, I speak four languages (French, Dutch, English and Chinese) and I had the opportunity to live and study for a year in Beijing, at the 外交学院 (China Foreign Affairs University).
