I am an engineer I have a bachelor degree in telecommunications and computer engineer, I teach Mathmatics and physics from elementary, secondary and high school education, about my experience I do programming for schools in education in all subjects, I have a Pearson certificate in this, also I have more than 10 years as a private teacher teaching math and physics for all grades.

Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics and Physics, one-to-one, from a tutor who has taught the IB since 2016 — so the algebra, the reasoning and the exam pace the IB Diploma will assume are built now, not discovered in DP1.

IGCSE Mathematics: 0580 (Core and Extended), International Mathematics 0607 and Additional Mathematics 0606 — algebra fluency first, the bridge into IB Math AA and AI.

IGCSE Physics 0625, Core and Extended: all six topics — motion, forces and energy; thermal physics; waves; electricity and magnetism; nuclear physics; space physics — and the practical paper (Paper 5 or 6), with the maths inside the physics made fluent: rearranging formulas, units, graphs and gradients.

How I teach: I find the exact step where your child's reasoning breaks — often a topic or two behind the class — rebuild from there, then train exam technique on real past papers. Core or Extended entry caps the grade before the exam: I'll give you an honest view before it is confirmed. One student started with me on IGCSE International Mathematics 0607 and continued through IB Physics HL.

I have worked for 6 years now with kids from international schools who were "hating" maths because the methods used by their IB teachers were too complicated and hard to understand.

I believe that no one is "not mathematical", we just have to find the way to approach the subject together; I have indeed a few teaching methods that can be adapted to a kids' needs, I believe every kid needs a different method to fully understand the subject.

I provide 3 types of lessons that represent 3 phases:
1. THEORY - Understanding the theory behind the exercises, this phase is the shortest since I believe that to fully understand maths you need to exercise.
2. EXERCISES - Doing exercises divided by subject we. just went through in the theory part.
3. PAST PAPERS - Going through past papers to "simulate" a potential exam.

Dividing the process in 3 phases has proven really effective in succeeding not only during the year but also at the final exams.

When I interviewed with Optiver, Flow Traders, DRW, Maven Securities and All Options, I prepared seriously. At my desk I could solve the probability questions and the mental maths without much trouble. In the real interview, with someone watching and the clock running, I got nervous and made mistakes I normally wouldn't. Looking back, what I needed wasn't more theory. I needed practice under real conditions, with someone telling me exactly where I went wrong.

That's what these sessions are for.

Each session is a mock interview in the style used by the major market making firms, followed by detailed feedback. We work on:

Probability and expected value questions
Market making games: quoting a two-sided market, updating as new information arrives, managing your position
