This mentorship is designed for students or individuals who already development a strong interest for studio arts and is planning to develop a portfolio or projects, either for personal or academic purposes. The course is highly customized to each individual based on their focus and passion to create arts that is entirely unique yet convincing. Throughout the process of generate ideas to finalizing details, I will aid the students to find their own artistic voices by motivating them to think critically and encourage them to experiment for them to equip an artist mindset for the future.

This course is an in-depth look into drawing. It is intended for students with some drawing experience as a way for them to build upon existing skills, but students of all levels are welcome. We will go over line, form, and structure, beginning with contour line drawings and eventually building up to the student creating their own pieces. We will discuss figurative and non-representational works, as well as how we can utilize different methods of drawing to convey different feelings and emotions.

Learning to draw or paint is not just about "reproducing well," but more importantly, about developing creativity. My classes emphasize developing the imagination while incorporating a rich and relevant knowledge of art history. In my course we will start with the linguistic and phonetic basics to then advance to more complex writings. You will practice speaking and correct pronunciation, to then arrive at written exercises, which you will also have to do at home to better assimilate the contents.

Join this workshop and demonstration where you will learn how to create an expressive portrait, where we look at how mark making through brush strokes and the use of colour palette can make an expressive, meaningful portrait. Learn how to layer in watercolour. What you will need: - watercolour paper, preferably A4 or A3 size. - a set of watercolours - a selection of brushes - HB / 2B pencil I will have a portrait photo that I will have you work on, I will show you techniques during demonstration and will help throughout.
