An introductory economics course for undergraduates / general readers
From 43 C$ /h
This class is designed for students who are new to economics, as well as learners from other academic or professional backgrounds who want to develop a solid understanding of economic thinking and fundamental economic theories.
With more than 4 years of teaching experience, I have learned that the most effective way to teach economics is not simply to explain theories, but to encourage students to think like economists. Instead of memorizing definitions and models, we will explore why economic ideas make sense and how they can be used to understand the world around us.
Real-life examples and practical applications are at the heart of this class. We will connect economic theories to everyday decisions, businesses, markets, government policies, prices, and other situations that students encounter in real life.
The goal is to give you more than an introduction to economics: by the end of the class, you should have developed a way of thinking that allows you to look at real-world situations through an economic lens.

About Me
I am an economist with a strong academic and professional background in economics, econometrics, and applied economic research. I currently work as Head of the Market Intelligence Division at an esteemed government organization, where I lead economic research and market analysis projects and support evidence-based policy and competition decisions.
I enjoy teaching economics and helping students understand not only the theory, but also how economic concepts are applied to real-world problems. My teaching approach is practical and student-focused: I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapt the explanation to the student's level and learning objectives.
I can help students with economics, statistics, research methods, and quantitative analysis, from introductory concepts to more advanced university-level material.

Experience / Qualifications
I have several years of university-level teaching experience in economics. I have taught and supported students in understanding economic theory, quantitative methods, and applied economic concepts, and I particularly enjoy breaking down difficult topics into clear and intuitive explanations.
My current work involves applying economic theory and econometric methods to real-world markets, conducting market research and economic analysis, working with large datasets, and developing evidence-based analysis for complex economic questions.
My areas of expertise include microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, statistics, economic research methods, data analysis, and academic research. I can also help students with quantitative analysis and commonly used tools such as Excel, EViews, SPSS.
My teaching approach is adapted to each student's level and objectives. Whether the goal is to understand a difficult concept, prepare for an exam, work through econometrics or statistics exercises, improve research skills, or receive guidance on an academic project, I focus on building a clear understanding rather than simply providing answers.
