Maqamat: Explore the world of musical scales and maqams and understand their essential role in Arabic music. Learn about the main maqams, learn to distinguish them, and understand their distinctive musical characteristics. Developing your abilities in listening and interacting with different maqams and applying them in playing and composing music. Studying the musical styles derived from maqams and exploring the artistic diversity that can be achieved through them. Note: Maqamat is considered one of the four pillars of Arabic music (instruments, genres, maqamat, templates), and requires extensive study and actual experiences in playing and listening. It is recommended to collaborate with experienced Maqamat teachers and make use of specialist music reference sources to enhance your understanding and develop your skills in this exciting field.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. I have students who sing for pleasure and students who are preparing for auditions and competitions. Feel free and find enjoyment and confidence in singing! In lessons, we will focus on extending the vocal range, breath support, interpretation, as well as learning to read music (if you have no previous musical training). I will be able to help you with a repertoire in Italian, German, French, and Russian - learning languages was a part of my training. I have a bachelor's degree in classical singing from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and I have 12 years of vocal experience and 20 years of studying music in total.
