I base my technique in classical vocal training but can teach l genres (opera, pop, musical theatre, jazz, classical)
My goal is to bring out the natural colours of your voice while teaching healthy breath control and resonance balancing. I also work to build my students confidence and work on interpretation of music.

About Me

Hi there!
I am a classical soprano with a passion for teaching!
I believe that singing should be fun, freeing and flexible - and that everybody’s singing journey is different.
I work to build a firm technique that my students trust so that they can truly have the freedom to originally interpret and make music.
I teach children as young as 12 who are starting their journeys, singers who feel they want to advance their vocal technique, as well as adults who have a passion for singing but never managed to get round to it until now!
Everybody is welcome in my classes and I pride myself on being a friendly caring teacher who always gets the best out of my students.
I currently study at the royal northern college of music after graduating from Chethams school of music in Manchester where I studied singing, piano, academic music, music theory and conducting.

Graduated in Trinity College LTCL in Violin (Masters). Currently active member of The University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Manchester String Orchestra. Over 10 years of music experiences. Over 3 years of teaching experiences. Have been learning, practising and expertising in music all my life. More like an exchange in music between music lovers rather than boring lessons. Provide violin, pop vocal, piano, basic saxophone and recorder tuition.

I will provide you with a fresh teaching of Music and grammar. I am a singer and pianist and I received a mark of 100% on my SATs exam. If you need any help with these things, I'm the person to come to. I can also help younger children with simple mathematics sums and can help then learn their first times tables.

We decide with my student to pick any or all of the following topics:
Breathing exercises, vocal cord and diaphragm awareness exercises, vocal range exercises, an introduction to notes, scales and chords; advanced topics such as circle of fifths and other methods to read and compose progressions, negative harmony concept, complex chords; introduction to DAW's (digital audio workstation), working with cubase, working with ableton, working with pro tools, working with other audio software, sound and fx design, how to compose a catchy tune, how to write music for branding, how to write music for youtube, how to write music for gaming.

As a singing teacher with an active performance career in classical/opera singing, I offer one-to-one singing lessons to students of all abilities and in all genres of singing. My Bachelors of Music degree and Masters of Music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music makes me a specialist in classical singing - this expands into Opera, Lied, English Song and French Mélodie. I have also trained in LAMDA Musical Theatre and performed with the National Youth Music Theatre in London's West End, adding Musical Theatre and Pop to my teaching repertoire. Grade 8 qualified with ABRSM, i will prepare students for both theory and singing exams.

My lessons focus on implementing the techniques that that I have been taught by world renowned professionals and I base her pedagogy on the classical training that I've received from around the world. Lessons can be in person or online.

Sara’s teaching is primarily based on the Estill Model (Level 1 & 2 training by Stephanie Marko & Charlotte Xerri). This model focuses on different structures of the voice in isolation, before combining and manipulating them to form a desired voice quality. Lessons delve into effective techniques used by pop, musical theatre, jazz, classical and opera singers, such as: ‘speech’, ‘twang’, ‘belt’ and ‘sob’.

I have been singing for twelve years now and have had many amazing opportunities as a professional vocalist. I started as a pop singer but, in recent years, I have turned towards musical theater. As a performer, it is very important to be able to sing different genres of music. Therefore, I am able to help my students in whatever genre they need through my experience and knowledge. Whether you want to sing the latest Olivia Rodrigo song or are a big fan of Les Miserables, I can provide you with guidance into getting the sound that you want.

In my classes, I would like to give the student as much freedom as possible. The student can bring a song they would like to work on or I can suggest material. We will explore different methods and find out what works best for you!
Dependent on the level and what the student wants from the lessons, we can also talk about the anatomy of body and why we use certain methods to reach those hard notes. My passion in singing is to help students sing the songs they want to without damaging themselves and in a safe and fun environment where making mistakes is encouraged!
