As someone who has gone to LAMDA, one of the top drama schools in the country, I have had a lot of experience in auditioning for drama school, and can draw upon my own successes (and failures!) to help you give the best audition possible. My name is Vanessa and I am an actress, teacher and producer currently based in London, United Kingdom.

As well as training and performing within the Theatre industry since 2011, I have also taught art disciplines such as acting, singing and dance and dance fitness from the ages of 3 upwards. Some of my performance credits include, Motown The Musical, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Hairspray and Legally Blonde and currently Stranger Things: The First Shadow.

For those that have a keen passion for entering into the Theatre industry, I am able to use my experience to offer professional training across all disciplines and help equip them with tools needed to thrive as a performer.

Similarly, for those that enjoy the arts as an extra curricular hobby/space to express themselves creatively, I take pride in holding a creative self space to help my students to unlock self confidence, self belief and their broader imagination as well as strengthening skills such as teamwork, singing, dancing and acting.

I am able to hold online classes and work to an international timezone to reach all my students and for those based in London and prefer face to face lessons, I'm able to rent studios or arrange home visits where requested.

What is a language?
A language is a mode of communication that people uses for effective communication.Zambian languages are a must to know whenever someone is interacting with many Zambians across the world and in Zambia.
Why you need to know how to speak Zambian languages ?
1.To gain confidence when in a conversation with Zambians.
2.To improve your communication skills .
3.To make agreeable deals with Zambians.
4.To avoid exploitation or any of it's possibility
5.To win indigenous Zambian hearts-Zambians are social people who loves someone who relates with them.Knowing a Zambian language is just one effective way you could instantly relate with many Zambians.
6.To be a Zambian languages Tutor as well.

A big question remains, do you need to know all the Zambian languages?
One sharp short answer is a big NO!
Why? It's because in Lusaka and all the other Zambian provinces NYANJA is the most spoken language.
On the other hand, BEMBA is dominant on the Copperbelt, Luapula, Muchinga and Northern province.Actually it's the second most spoken language after NYANJA.
Thirdly, TONGA is the widely spoken language in the Southern province of the country.
Lastly, Mambwe is a dominating language in Northern province and partially in Muchinga Province.

Now which Zambian language can one choose to be taught?

1.A language that is dominant to where you will be working from -In Zambia
2.A language mostly spoken by your workmates
3.Your indigenous Zambian language.Good for those born from Zambian parents but raised overseas.

I am a professional actress and movement director and I deliver one-to-one drama tuition sessions and full day workshops that are tailored to suit your individual needs. I also founded and ran Outburst Theatre from 2010 - 2019 as a platform to bring communities together in South East London via educational theatre projects. I hold a level 3 Adult Teaching Certificate and as a graduate of the full-time acting course at LAMDA, the use of English and the ability to communicate and understand has always been at the heart of my professional career as an actor for 25 years but also my business career for over 20 years.

For many years, I have taught Voice to professional adults including politicians, marketing and sales executives and designers. This was derived from what I learned at LAMDA where I was taught by some of the best voice teachers in the world.

My class was designed to learn how to be more effective in spoken and written communication in English. How to engage, how to listen, how to understand, how to be dynamic etc... Each class is one hour. Many have told me that what they learned from this class has helped them to develop and grow their self-confidence
especially when applying for jobs.

I have enormous experience in communicating with people at all levels and from different
backgrounds. I strongly believe that communication is the key to employability.

I also have considerable experience of organizing and formatting processes which are
aligned to assessing and training requirements. For over twenty-five years, I have
assessed Parliamentary Candidates for a major political party and for the past twelve
years, I have been organizing and Facilitating them both face-to-face and since the
pandemic online as VADs or Virtual Assessment Days.

The biggest barrier facing any adult learner who is also in employment is trying to balance the conflicting demands of employment with the competing demands of a formal course which has its own timetable. Whether the employment is full-time or part-time, there are always just so many hours in the day. So rest assured, I can be completely flexible to suit your timetable.

I have 12 years of teaching experience in 1-1 and group settings for ages 4 to 18, with a number of my students gaining West End success.
