I am a native English speaker living in London with a Bachelor's degree in English and Media Studies. I am also TEFL certified. For the past five years, I have worked with children across a variety of age groups in primary schools and Kumon centers as a teaching assistant. I have helped students improve their English skills either in small groups or with one to one support, and it has been rewarding for me to see their confidence grow in the subject.

I'm offering two types of classes:

ESL Conversation Classes: We can talk about a range of topics and work together to improve your conversational skills. We would choose the topic prior to the lesson (e.g. music, the workplace, travel, directions) and then I would prepare the lesson accordingly. You will be provided with homework to enhance what you have learned during the session.

KS1 & KS2 English Tutoring: These sessions are geared towards Primary School aged children from Year 2 - Year 6. I can provide all-around English support as well as preparation for SAT exams. We will need to discuss beforehand which areas the student requires support before a session. Homework can be provided.

I started volunteering in primary schools right after finishing Sixth Form College. After obtaining my degree, I began working in local primary schools across of range of year groups. This class is for students who require assistance with editing academic or other work.

My goal is to improve the English content of students' written work as well as grammar. I will provide constructive feedback to enable students to develop their writing. This class will be offered for GCSE English onwards and includes university dissertations and other pieces of written work.

You will be prepared for public exams (A levels, English GCSE, American SATS, Common Entrance) in French, Spanish, Linguistics (English) and Latin (up to Common Entrance) to a high standard. For those not taking exams, you will be taught via grammar and reading, which assures quick progression. You are welcome to bring your own material to explore with the tutor or your school prep. I do not write essays for students but provide a high degree of research to allow you to shine in your project or chosen module.

English Literature is an extremely important and, for many students, compulsory part of education. This class is about improving the skills needed for close, thematic reading of both old and more contemporary texts. Using overarching themes found across literature, as well as giving suggestions for other relevant texts, this class aims not only to help pass any exams, but to also enrich your understanding and appreciation of the subject.

Outside of exams, especially for any adults, this class can be a more freeform discussion of novels or poetry for anyone who wants to enjoy literature on a deeper level but isn't quite sure where to start or what avenues of thought to explore.

I have been teaching English for 13 years in my home country (Turkey) I am in London as a master degree student in MBA with leadership at UWS London. Private tuition in English Language and Literature. For those students preparing for exams I like to take a syllabus-based approach while also allowing time to further explore any specific areas of personal interest the student may have. If a student is not working towards exams but requires private tuition, my aim is to approach the English subject enthusiastically and broadly, highlighting the vast range of approaches that students can take towards discovering new topics, practising new learning techniques and exploring their own personal interests within the subject in the most educationally enriching way possible.
